Ok, so i deleted a character two days ago, but i changed my mind and restored him. When i go to modify his looks, when i try to conferm any and all changes, it says Customization data transfer error. so i click ok and then i cant to anything and i have to CTRL+ALT+DEL just to close PWI. Also, i can get into the game with him, but its very laggy even in places where there are hardly any people WITH the best quality thing in the top-left corner on. But if i play on my level 12 cleric, everything is fine and there is hardly, if any, lag. The character i restored is a level 1 Wizard. Thanks for helps. b:thanks

Ok, i think i got it, i figured it out. Apparently, like 5 minutes before your modify time is up, the servers or something make it so you cant change it, because i tried to restart my computer. I came back and then i couldnt modify him, his button was grayed out.

I keep getting this error on my archer, and I just made him yesterday.

I'm new to the game, and I had a similar but NOT identical problem customizing my first character.

After spending considerable time choosing a preset, then tweaking the face, hair and body, I entered the game to find that, not only did NONE of my customization choices stick, I didn't even get the same preset I had chosen. My character looks COMPLETELY different. The only thing that came through were some of the color choices.

Is this a known issue? Did I do something wrong? Will I have a chance to change the appearance of the character later and maybe get closer to my intended design? Should I delete the character and try again, or will the same thing just happen?

For the first 48 hours of your character's life, you can use the Modify button to recustomize your character as often as you like.

Thanks for the quick response, Surtr. But why did this happen? Is there a time limit, or a bug, or are you not supposed to choose a preset first? It's great that I can try again without deleting, but what's to stop the same thing from happening? I'll try again as soon as I get home; hopefully the character will come out "right" this time, lol!

It's a bug that occurs occasionally. If you want to be safe, you can save it as a custom preset before finalizing it. That way if it doesn't work, you can simply reload your preset.
