April Calendar Creation Contest Winners! *updated* posts #4-8, runner ups, etc.

Ladies and Gents of PWI, we are pleased to feature the 5 winning designs for the month of April Calendar Creation Contest!

Just like in previous month's contests, the submissions for April were EXTREMELY competitive in terms of overall quality as well as the sheer amount of submissions.

It's truly unfortunate that only 5 designs can be awarded prizes as this time around as over 40 submissions were considered finalists up until the final vote, and as in months past there were almost a dozen designs that were one or two votes away from being a Top 5 winner.

Prize winners will be sent their prizes next Wednesday (or after server maintenance). Next week we will also feature the runner-up designs and will announce all details for the month of May Calendar Design Contest.

Much thanks to the few hundred of you who participated in this month's contest. The judges always look forward to reviewing your submissions and we are always impressed at the level of artistry, expression and creativity from our users!

For those of you who participated in this month's contest and are not featured as winners/runner-ups feel free to post your designs on this thread to share your handiwork with others!

    Wow, congratulations to the winners. I really loved the iPod one, it was a very unique entry that's for sure. Looks like mainly hand drawn ones won this time around. Is all hope lost for those of us who suck at drawing? *lol* Just kidding. Can't wait to see some of the runner ups. So many creative ideas were floating around this month. Oh, and I'll also be looking forward to next months entries for sure.

    I'm not gonna flame, but I have to admit that I feel REALLY discouraged that hand-drawn entries seem to consistently take the top spots. For people like me who don't even have all the equipment to do digital art like that, it's really really discouraging. I worked really hard on my entry and I thought it was great and creative. *shrugs* I really am thinking twice about entering again because this is pretty discouraging.

    To give my absolute 100% honest opinion, I think I deserved to win over the others that won. That's not to say that they aren't good entries, because they are, but that is just how I feel.

    Wow this looks like professional stuff. How can someone like me who was trying to use MSpaint compete with that?

    Why do u guys always hold events that lock certain people out? How about some exp events or something? ;o

    Thank you for posting the winners. I think the hardest part will be picking which one to use as a desktop lol! This was a very competitive month! Looking forward to the runner ups, and I feel a lot more motivated to draw more PWI fan art! :D It was fun to see all the great designs posted prior. So wheres the PWI sketch club? hehe. We need some of those good artists on here maybe to help others with works? Good idea? I'm up for helping people out with art.
