Reputation: do it or do it not?

So I have rank 3 now, about 2550 rep at lvl 67. I checked out the rank stuff you get on PWI database (arcane). Correct me if I'm wrong or miss something.
Rank 4 (5000 rep): lvl 90 belt. http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/12742
lvl 60 robe (not worth mentioning, by the time you get rank 4 you will have better robes already, or atleast as good. Unless you really manage to get rank 4 around 60's.
Rank 5 (10k rep): lvl 90 leggins. http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/12705
Rank 6 (35k rep): lvl 90 robe. http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/12674
Rank 7 (100k rep): lvl 99 robe. http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/12678
(does rank 7 has a weapon too? Could someone tell me that and if so post a link?)
Rank 8 (200k rep) lvl 100 robe. http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/12681
lvl 100 magic sword. http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/12647
Now at first I figured, this is impossible lets just leave it. But after reading the new guide on the wizzies forum, where a lvl 100+ from the MY-EN had rank 8 and rank 8 gear, I began to think. Im planning on getting 90 for sure, not sure about 100 though. Should I continue on 1 man army's instead of air-mob grinding? Should I spam worldchat to offer help on fb's? Or should I just leave the whole rank stuff and try to get other good gear.
What have you guys (80/90+) done with rep and rank? Any advise would be welcome.
Thanks in advance!

I know plenty of level 80s who still use the level 60 robe since it has -% channeling on it (a rare stat in a robe).
You are also missing all the cool rank rings. In my experience, spamming world chat for FBs is the best way to accumulate rep.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

The sooner you start doing everything in your power to farm rep (fb's, one man armies, etc) the faster you'll meet your mark. Or you could just win the lottery and buy a few hundred wedding packs and gorge on wedding candied to superslam the thousands and thousands of rep you'll need for the highest ranks.0

Since the great gurus at PW decided to remove repoutation stamps from FB59 and up, to increase the sales of reputation candies, you can pretty much forget getting anything over 10k reputation.
35k is pretty much unattainable. 100k and 200k you can totally forget.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thanks Brit for the sig b:laugh0 -
I gave up on reputation.0

the lvl60 rank4 armor is not that bad... its res match lvl70 3-star and lvl80 1-star. low res compared to TT gear but opts are far superior.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

As with others, I would suggest getting up to rank 4 as the chest piece rank armor has -channeling/attack interval which can't be obtained otherwise (to my knowledge), so it can be pretty helpful for grinding. I personally don't see the point of grinding past rank 4, though. If you happen to grind on a mob that has a one-man army quest, I would get it; but I personally wouldn't get out of my way just to kill one-man army quest mobs.0

I have 10,510 rep so far. Well on my way to 35k which I will get soon enough.Main characters

Honestly, I am not concerned with rep at the moment, Only concern is getting to 89 asap, then maybe attempt to hit 90 just to say I'm 90, then farm FBsBack.0

That's great for you, but would be even more great if you told me how you did itb:victory fb's? 1 man army? I mean 2 rep per 40 mobs... you would level to 90 before getting so much rep.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

at your lvl u should be able to kill mobs inside fb59, or at least with friend venomancer. each stamp there gives u 8 points of reputation and believe me il u re lucky, by the end of the dungeon u should have more than 30 stamps
ps : just be patient, it takes about 30 to 35 min to clear the earth side and if you don't wanna waste your time killing the bosses, just disconnect for a mom and then get back to the game and repeat it again0 -

Lots of fbs, lots of 1 mans. I kill myself just to make myself level slower so I have more rep per level. Right now though I'm actually trying to level and I'm still getting a ton of rep due to fbs.Main characters

I prefer the fire side, myself. Even though I'm a veno, and can burn through those Earth mobs like nothing, the ones that kite you up a wall are extremely annoying. Get through 6 exploding mobs, and the rest are a piece of cake. And I seem to average about 6 or so myself. Not to mention, the EXP is pretty nice in there. It's how I got to rank 3. I hit 63, got my pet heal, and grind, grind, grind. b:pleased Now I just gotta do it for Rank 4.0 -
Also before you start to do some killing quests, check if you need to kill them for one man army too. 2 rep from one man army will be nice addition to the reputation from the quests
But from what I have seen - fb59 is the best place for getting stamps0 -
one man army its a complete waste of time. only blademasters and venos with herc can make a huge profit from that quest, but it needs to include a pure mele monsters0
-
okay great, thanks for the replies everyone. But aren't I getting to high level soon to farm fb59? Will check it out though, maybe with a friend of mine. Also, what do you get from rep 5? (@zoe). Only the lvl 90 belt? or more?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Rank 5 is when your ring improves to +2% crit, and might actually be worth using. You also get some very nice pants (exactly like the rank 3 pants, but much better stats and level 90 req). I don't see a rank 5 belt anywhere, though.0 -

So if you get a regular mob kill quest or are just grinding for exp or loot, check to see if there's a one-man-army quest that matches. You may even want to change your grinding target to one which has a one-man-army quest.0 -
Reputation in PWI is very hard if not almost impoosible to obtain. Winning the lottery and buying wedding packs isn't the answer nor is killing yourself doing constant FB's and such. It's kinda like everyone's been there done that with exception of winning the lotto. I will say it is very possible for the cash shop to sell wedding candy that will help in the reputation department. That is being done on other servers and people actually get to use the rank armor when they are suppose to, another been there done that.

On my old server we'd do FB89 at least once a day just for skill books and such and the signets from there actually helped loads with rep. Too bad PWI doesnt seem to drop signets in the higher dungeons.0

Ah sorry I see it. Was a bit confused between rank 4 and 5. I see that the rank 4 robe has - 3 % (very small) channeling, but other then that it is the same as a 3 star lvl 70 robe, which I'm planning on wearing. Anyway doing 1 man army is never bad cause less exp per mob means more DQ drops per % means more money after you level. So I'll see where I end..[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Solandri - Heavens Tear wrote: »Agreed they're a waste of time if you just want to farm rep. But when I made a new toon, I looked up every mob kill quest I received to see if there was a matching one-man-army quest. If there was, I went and got it before I did the main quest. By the time he hit level 30, he was already well over 300 rep and able to immediately get his rank gear.
So if you get a regular mob kill quest or are just grinding for exp or loot, check to see if there's a one-man-army quest that matches. You may even want to change your grinding target to one which has a one-man-army quest.
Just like to point out that 300 rep at 30 isn't very hard so long as you've done every normal quest, in fact someone NOT having 300 rep at least by 30 would strike me as odd. You can get plenty of rep from the pre-30 quests alone.0 -
So I just saw that the lvl 90 rank 5 pants aren't so good at all. THe lvl 93 three star is better, and the lvl 90 TT/Legendary are much better! So what's the point in getting 10k rep anyway, exept the + 2 % crit ring.
The rank 6 lvl 90 robe is actually quite good compared to other lvl 90 robes, specially with the - 3 % channeling. But 35k before lvl 90? Damn!
So im really thinking if it is worth all the trouble getting those reputation points. It seems that only rank 7 and 8 are REALLY worth it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

The 20-30 quests give you way more exp than needed to get to 30 (in fact just the 29 cultivation quest series alone gives you like 60% of the exp needed to get to 30). So if you've been in big groups for your quests (little exp for kills, meaning you complete more quests before reaching 30), then yes you'll hit 300 before you reach 30.
I've taken 4 characters to 30, in pretty much the same way. The first 3 had about 250-270 rep by the time they reached 30. The last one I did all the coinciding one-man-army quests and was at something like 310-320 by the time I hit 30. So it's a pretty substantial boost just for taking a few extra minutes to check for a one-man-army quest.0 -

You would be fat and not fit in your armor if you did that >.>
Fat wedding brides/grooms is very unpleasent to the rest of us who would wish to see XD
ADDON:
Well, since 105 apparently isn't the max level for the game. (I know 105 is ATM but not in the coming years. It will be bumped to 150 in time). then getting 200k rep wouldn't be an issue then if you're sloooooowly grinding to 150. FBs and such would be more profitable then by the time we get those levels. Because a 105 would not only pwn the **** outta FB19s, but a squad of 100+s will destroy any FB over 99 XD
So yeah. Sure its impossible atm, but in time, we'll easily get up there <.<[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
