What would you do?

Hi there PWI, I come to you with the above question in the stead of a friend of mine. Here is the situation:
Six friends set out to do three FB79 runs in a row; a barbarian, two clerics, a venomancer, an archer, and a blademaster. The squad keep running off ahead of one of the clerics who keeps stopping to mine pirate treasure for another quest and leaving her to find her way via large map and mini-map. Supposedly, five of the friends agree in chat that if Misty Forest Mold drops, the barbarian will get it; supposedly the cleric who is left to find her way misses this and does not consent to said agreement. Linus falls, drops are grabbed- this cleric who did NOT consent gets the Misty Forest Mold. Supposedly she is immediately told to hand over the mold to said barbarian. Squad is dismissed and gets disconnected shortly after the first run, supposedly. The mold holder signs back on later and is again messaged to give over the mold to the barbarian; meanwhile she looked over to her friendlist and claims that the one to get the mold had taken her off his friendlist while she was d/c'd.
Now she says she has second thoughts on just giving the mold over to such a great "friend". She signs off for the night and logs back in the next day and gets a private chat message from the other cleric stating this ( she showed me a screenshot and it IS word for word what it said):
"wow ur a real greedy bish... cant believe u did that. we always share stuff. we could have used that to help everyone. instead u go off and be greedy with it. thats sad. i even shared my axes with *name kept confidential*. its a shame u had to be that way." after reading this, the mold holder looks at faction and discovers the cleric, the archer, the barb, the bm and another bm who was a friend of all the FB concerned, left the faction.
The cleric holding the mold claims that she has done TT runs and let them keep gold mat drops without splitting- she had also not been paid for that run for either her charm nor been given any share of the coins from the other mats that dropped for that run. She claims when she went asking for help, they gave her no favors but was still a good enough friend to help them with the others' personal gains like the above mentioned. She said she never gave consent to the agreement the other five decided and the mold DID go to her.
So, I ask again, what would you do if you were put in her spot? Would you just give it up to the barbarian? Would you just keep it because of all that was said and done, or would you still sell it and split the coin with the squad, telling them to put their coins together and buy the barbarian a mold if they really want him to have it?

Thats some shaky friendship right there... real friends who always do squads together would realize already who needs what and be gladly give rare stuff to the others cause they know they'd do the same. I'm glad to say I've found great ppl like this.
With that said, I what I would do if i was that cleric is that if we always do things together, stuff that I really need they'll send over my way and same vice versa. If the whole squad truly had friendship they'd understand this.Bringing fear and widespread random deaths into the Harshlands, that is my goal..

A god of death cannot be killed even if stabbed in his heart with a knife or shot in the head with a gun. However, there are ways to kill a god of death, which are not generally known to the gods of death.0 -

And a squad like that won't leave someone behind. Not saying that the fault isn't mainly the cleric's, but there's room for blame to go around.0 -
Loot discussions should happen before the run starts, so that everyone has a chance to drop their input and agree to the loot rules. Loot rules should never be changed mid-run without everyone in the group present, so they can say "yea" or "nay". If the loot rule was changed without the cleric present, or being told what the change was, then the rest of the group is at fault, friends or not. Treating the cleric as they did after the run was completely uncalled for.
Oh, and demanding that someone give up loot that they legitimately picked up is childish.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I trust that my friends would understand cases of possible d/c's. As such, if I were the cleric, I'd send back the mold since it's a small $ loss in the long run, just to clear my name. Then I would not be friends with them. Find new friends. If I can see true friendship with just a mold, I think it's a cheap price to pay.Sagacious Guild - Heaven's Tear

Since people like that probably won't quality for "true friendship," would you not just take the mold?0 -
If the cleric wasn't present during the decision it wasn't a fair decision. You can't decide on drops without everyones knowlege and input. I say keep the mold. The barb had no claim to it cause it was decided without the entire squad.
Also I'd send the screenshot in to the GMs."Jesus fricking christ on a pogo stick. Your a mass of fricking idiots I swear!"

I doubt GMs would care to waste their time on this petty squabble, instead of looking at situations where rules have been broken.0

Them calling her a bish to bypass the chat filter.

I agree. I had this very issue last night. I asked my faction for help on my TT60 quests for over a week, and FINALLY had a squad going. It was me, a veno, two clarics, and a bm. We all agreed to do the quests, but last minute they wanted to kill the drum boss.
So, we slaughter the boss and the mats drop. Throughout both bosses several of them dropped their items, and left them behind. So, finding it a waste to just leave them, I took them. I knew SOMEONE in the faction would love to have them. So when it came around to finishing up the fb and turning in my quests, they all had dropped their edges. I had no drops sept for the ones that were dropped from the bm. So I had 4 edges, a broken drum and about 16 bones from chests.
One of the members had a mirage, and didn't care for any of the other drops, so he left squad. Claric left squad and so it was me, the other claric and the other veno.
Suddenly, halfway out, the claric starts to bish me out saying he never got a damn thing, when looking back up through the drop list, he had quite a few drops. I told him I planned to give it to someone in the faction to help them get their TT60 weapon, since everyone but most of them under 65 didn't have em yet.
So he bishes more, tells me i'm a greedy bish because I chose to keep them instead of give them all to him, a claric, who was lvl 70+. So, I ignored him, left the fb and not two second later the bm starts to chew me out saying I was going to sell them and keep all the profit. So I explained how I was giving them to a veno in our faction who can hardly do anything on her own let alone survive in a TT run, and it never went through her head. I blacklist her for 20 minutes, mailed the items and just learned that some friends are more selfish and rather get a few coin than to help a failing faction out.
I took an hour nap to wait for the cooldown and when I came back in, the veno whom I helped SPAZZED. She loved the fact that I risked a huge **** fight to help her out. I even had my bf make the Ult. Substance so all she needed to do was get one edge and find a friend who can craft it (since my blacksmith is only 3 @_@ )
I even took my broken drum and gave it to a barb friend who desperately needed it for his weapon, having never gotten the drops nor saved the money to get it himself. Is that being selfish? Sounds selfless to me. I could of made a good bit of coin from most of the stuff I got, but chose to help my faction out.
I know exactly how you feel about the people you thought were friends turn around and go nuts. They never said 'split drops' or 'give to this person' in the beginning of the TT. They just simply said 'lets get these quests done!'. Not to mention they dropped the stuff after it went through and ONE person wanted to go greedy so suddenly everyone had to as well? The veno was the only other person who simply said "I didn't want the drops, so I don't care."
People are greedy by nature...sadly the people who get left out by that fact get ****ed over XP[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Sad this happened, and I agree with posters who said it should have been agreed upon before the run began, with all present and in agreement.
When we do faction runs, or even runs with friends, we do drops on free, a trusted person collects all and then it is split fairly at the end, those who need certain mats are given first priority but all is split pretty fairly value-wise. It keeps everyone happy and there's usually no arguments. It sounds like these are fair weather friends and the cleric is better off without them. Quick tempers and bad attitudes don't make lasting friendships, or trusted quest companions. I think if they'd been reasonable about it, I might have given up the mold, but considering the treatment given to the cleric... would have to think twice about that myself having not agreed to anything in the first place. I say mail the mold along with a nice little note: Thank you so much for your loyalty dear friend., then forget about them all and find new friends. Good luck with this, and I hope it works out alright.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Who the hell invited an attack cleric as my support?b:beatup0 -
Thanks for the input everyone. I'll admit I'm the cleric whose name is probably being slandered all over Sanctuary right now. I have a problem with just handing over such a mold to a barbarian with full TT80 legendary armor, calamity axes and just removes me from his friend list while I was d/c'd (bad storms were on east coast side 3/28- 29; that's what d/c'd me). Slandering my name is fine and all, I'm a big girl and can defend myself, but it bothers me that they are slandering my best friend's name just because he's associated with me.
I just wish I had been online to call them out on "sharing" or "helping" me because they haven't. Everything I own I've worked hard for. Hopefully, this will pass soon enough.
However, I believe a friend of mine came with a solution . Thanks, Mag, for posting this thread up. Many nice people gave their input and I value the advice.
@Tigriss, I don't think that alone will amount up to anything, however if they keep slandering me I will start reporting them for harrassment. That IS a T.O.S. violation and I have been saving screen shots. GMs can track all we do and say; you just need to give them a reason to go looking.[In a distorted place and time][The knife that stabbed me in the back grants me wings]

Doesnt sound like much of a friendship to me. Id keep the ring and find some real friends.0

She should sell the mold, send an even split of the coins to everyone and tell them they're lucky to even get that ^^
Oh and find new friends.
EDIT#2 Actually,i would just keep the mold,**** it they don't deserve anything.Quit 100%...and surprised my forum account wasn't banned...yet0 -
My question is, why was that discussion not carried out in squad chat? If your squaded together and your having a conversation that is excluding one member of your squad, then you get what you deserve. That is why they have squad chat, so the squad is all on the same page with things.
~S0 -
Discuss everything what could rise the problems before the run (FB/TT) and do it in squad chat so all members could hear that. That solves lot of problems. Although I consider that all 3* and molds should go to the tab holder no matter if he needs them or not as they belong to him. It is up to tab holder what he decides to do with them - let you have them, sell, give to friend or what ever.
I can understand why cleric took the mold as I it seems lot of things was decided behind her back and she was left behind all the time. At least one member should have stayed back with her and waited. You can't ask her to follow agreement to which she didn't agree to :P0 -

I always do FBs and TTs with friends, although I never care about Molds and such, everyone moves at their own pace. We all rush as fast as we can, kill as many as we can, and if our other friends get left behind, and have to catch up, then atleast they haven't spammed their charm like us, who've run ahead, have.
Although it's more fun this way, even with the charm spamming.0 -
are they your friends, really? if there was no rule to "whom drops belongs to", go sell the mold and split profits among all. simple and painless.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Seems to me if there was going to be an agreement made during the run, and they knew the cleric was behind, then the whole chat should have taken place in squad chat. Seems kind of funny that the cleric was the only one that didn't know. If they all talked in open chat knowing the cleric was way behind and out of range then it is the fault of the party. How ever after being told, the cleric probably should have given the mold to the barbarian. If they were friends it should have been an easy decision.Life is what you make it. Just make sure you have fun.[SIGPIC]<Img Src="http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m214/Dragonwindspirit/contest/Vinny_D1.jpg">[/SIGPIC]0

Whenever I bring in random people for my FB/TT runs.. all drop policies are laid out in squad chat before the run starts and agreed on.. if someone doesn't agree to the rules they can find a different squad..
I prefer doing my runs with friends.. recently I farmed a **** ton of high mats for fb79 wines and ran it with 3 friends untabbed until I got my misty mold dropped..
if the drops aren't agreed on by everyone beforehand .. expect that people will not follow them.. i've even had people agree to the drop rules and then completely ignore them0
