Pet lvl not increasing

Can the pets level go higher than its owner?

Right now my pets lvl is stuck and the exp is full.

Does it only go to the next lvl when I am at that level?

    no, they can't
    it would be so weird to be lvl 10 and have a lvl 90 pet...

    If your level 10 and your pet is level 10 and your not near leveling and your pets exp is stuck you have to level then your pet will level too
