Change Names?

Hey I got A great idea!!!!!! How about you make it so people can get there chars names changed. So chars like this one don't get all the way to level 55 and then get banned. I'm sure if you gave people the option of changing there name with GM approval, It would solve issues and keep people happy, playing and spending money.

I had a hard time explaining to my friends why i am being banned. Everyone asked, "Why dont they just change i?", But the gm told me i couldn't. How do you change your characters name. And will they ban you rather than make you change it like other mmoprgs? Is this fair?

    heh well then... I wont ask where you got the name from. but if its possable to ban for a day and in that day give the option to choose a new name.
    like on the logon screen when you choose a cher it sais
    "This cher has been banned for a bad name, you have 24 hours to change it before it is permenently banned." or somethin like that. unless the name is ammazingly offencive.

    I like Starwolf's idea.... but I would rather have an option of a ONE TIME name change for any char. While I like my name I wish I had used tthis one for my archer and my archer's name for this one now that I decided I like Veno a lot more lol.

    Same idea with me. I have 2 characters that I want to swap the names of.

    i wanna change my name mainly cause i keep getting harassed by factions such as everlast ad the leader of that faction stalks my friends and guild mates just to provoke me into fighting and i swear the guy is probly hated by at least half the server and he has a friend that loves to torment low lvls by saying they will sell them what they want then turn around and deny talking to them all together
    i wont mention names but im sure u would know who

    I received a response from costumer service on a ticket i submitted regarding this issue. It seems that they used to have a name change tool but it was to buggy. They are working on fixing it because of issues like this. I imagine if i get banned today they can unban me when the tool is fixed. However, im guessing at this point it will be faster to make a new veno.......

    anyone else know anything about this?

    What about Developers? are there any developers with some info on this situation?

    BTW Star Wolf I like your idea! I cant see why it cant be done other than they just wont do it, or don't have the man power for dealing with the issues. It seems that maybe a char could be banned until next maintenance and then a maintenance they could do a reset on char names. That way the developers could have time to mess with the DB. Is that a possibility?
