Noobish Dungeon Questions

Hello, I'm new to PW and have a few questions for more experienced players:

1) What does the term "tabber" mean?
2) How strong of a group is smart for my first fb19 run? I'd prefer a "real" run over a "wined" run. How many members, how nicely geared, what levels?
3) What are the common group conventions in this game regarding loot distribution and group leadership?
4) How beneficial are dungeon runs for characters the appropriate level: that is in regards to item drops, and experience/spirit/coin gained? Is it generally most efficient to make one run through the dungeon for the quest rewards and potential drops, then continue quests and grinding?

Thanks!

    1) What does the term "tabber" mean? That's the person with the quest tab.
    2) How strong of a group is smart for my first fb19 run? I'd prefer a "real" run over a "wined" run. How many members, how nicely geared, what levels? A balanced squad with Tank, Damage Dealer, Lurer, Healer could do it shortly after receiving quest if party members know how to play their roles. I'm trying to solo, so have to be much higher level.
    3) What are the common group conventions in this game regarding loot distribution and group leadership? Random!
    4) How beneficial are dungeon runs for characters the appropriate level: that is in regards to item drops, and experience/spirit/coin gained? Is it generally most efficient to make one run through the dungeon for the quest rewards and potential drops, then continue quests and grinding? Very beneficial...
I'm not what you'd call "experienced", but I've added what I think.

Hello, I'm new to PW and have a few questions for more experienced players:

    1) What does the term "tabber" mean? When you get the quest at level 19, you'll get an item that looks like a tablet. Having this item to trigger the quest inside the dungeon makes you the tabber
    2) How strong of a group is smart for my first fb19 run? I'd prefer a "real" run over a "wined" run. How many members, how nicely geared, what levels? A "real" run would be people your own level, a well organized party can do it no problem. A veno around level 25-30 can solo it. Anyone level 45+ can solo it. A "normal" party has some pretty high level people in it who just run the whole way through and kill all the mobs at the end.
    3) What are the common group conventions in this game regarding loot distribution and group leadership?Group Leader has to be the person holding the tab, but usually they just follow. There's always someone around who knows what they're doing. Loot...depends on the run but usually its either random or the tabber gets it all.
    4) How beneficial are dungeon runs for characters the appropriate level: that is in regards to item drops, and experience/spirit/coin gained? Is it generally most efficient to make one run through the dungeon for the quest rewards and potential drops, then continue quests and grinding? Items are good for your level. Do all your quests in there when you get them. Especially at 19, you'll use the weapon you get for a long time.

    Thanks!
apparently i can't just type in the quote

    1) Can only one member per run complete the quest, or can two characters with tablets complete the quest in one run?
    2) A full party is 6 members, at level 19 should I have a full group, or are 4 members sufficient?
    3) Random looting is first grab, first serve? Tabber getting all loot happens when a higher level is helping the tabber complete the quest quickly with little fuss, mainly for the nice quest reward, right?
    4) Can all quests be completed in one run through the dungeon, or does it require multiple runs?

    1) You would have to do two runs

    2) If all level 19.....hmmm...maybe...but would need a full crew...I would recommend at least 2 higher levels...If you have higher lvls, you may only need 1-2

    3) Depends on your team. Some people run with tabber gets all drops, some run with 3*'s and molds to tabber while all others to random....depends on how you want to do it and your group.

    4) You should be able to complete in one run. Should.....also depends on the FB as to whether that is possible

    Thanks for the replies!

So if I were wanting to do a "real" run, average 6-character team should be about clvl23 or so to fare well?

Also, why the inclination to have high levels? Doesn't that eliminate all possibility of challenge in the dungeon? What benefits does the high level get from a lowbie dungeon run? Wouldn't grinding or a dungeon around his level give superior experience and coin? I'm aware of mold drops (although I'm not entirely sure what they are yet) but wouldn't low-level molds be just as useless?

Those tabs activate quests for everyone in the party. The quest reward exp increases every 10 levels. Those lowbie dungeons are really easy, and kind of fun to run through for quick exp. The items/molds really don't matter.

First...higher lvls low FB's bc they get the exp from it that you would upon completion.

Second...you can try on own...I know I did my first fb19. But they mobs that are in there are not your "average" lvl 19 and under mobs...they have an hp increase and can bite hard.

Last...I would say give it a try...it is not impossible!!! Just make sure you are all coordinated...b:victory

I think I'm getting it now. Anyone completing or assisting with the quest will get a worthwhile experience reward, so you want someone who has the quest in your group. Higher levels can complete the dungeon faster, so get good experience for their time, and help out someone in the process.

Is there ever a point without a tabber? (Or is it even possible?)

    The dungeons are instances, correct?

Edit: Random Looting: How does it work?

Random looting is just how the squad is set up. When someone picks up an item, it goes to a random squad member.

    1) Yes

    2) You can do runs whenever you want, you just dont get the exp you would with a tab. People tend to do "drop/mold" runs, for fun, out of boredom, for the potential of mold/drops, etc.

    3) Yes

    1) You would have to do two runs

This is worth clarifying. If you have two people in a squad who both have the FB quest and you complete that quest, they will both get credit for it on that run. However, both of these people should also have the separate but related tab quest (Call to Duty). Only one of them can use their tab and be squad leader for a given run. The other person will still have their tab at the end of the run. At that point, you can do the FB again to get the full value out of this second person's tab, but it is optional.
