NEWSFLASH: We’ve just received word that on Tuesday, March 31, evil spawns will attempt to wreck havoc across Archosaur! Demonstrate your valor and honor by fighting side by side with your fellow compatriots in defense of your beloved city!
Based on our initial intelligence reports the forces of evil will invade Archosaur at the following times:

- Tuesday, March 31 -

Dreamweaver & Harshlands: 3 p.m. Pacific (6 p.m. Eastern)

Heaven's Tear, Lost City & Sanctuary: 5 p.m. Pacific (8 p.m. Eastern)

Dont know about u guys but me and my friends would like to participate in this event but since we are europeans we cant make it cause the time is too late, and like that wasnt enough its on a weekday. Since they're gonna do these events and dont want to do them on weekends they could at least make a more fitfull hour. We play on Sanctuary, and if the hour was the same has dreamweaver we could go, so why make diferent times? why not make a damn time that is suitable for everyone? or maybe more than one time a day....
Everyone should be able to participate in the events so this kinda pisses me off. this was just an observation so i hope they can do the next event with this question in mind.

    Well... I'm not trying to be a prick, but you did chose to play on a US server. US server equals US based times. =/ I know is 'says' International, but there are more versions of this game available in different time zones.
    If you want something great, you've gotta be willing to bet it all. If you bet it all, you had better be prepared to lose.

    It is not just there area though...

    Those of us in Pacific Time that have JOBS...cannot make the event either.

    If you are working an 8-5pm job...it is nearly impossible to make the event. b:sad

    i came to this server cause of my friends but since they can make a good time on dreamweaver why not on sanctuary?
    Many people cant make it cause its too late or have jobs or whatever.
    The best thing they should do is too make this events on weekends instead of weekdays.

    I think event should be moved to weekend. not during a normal day of the week when people have to study and work.

    ~edit~ I think the weekday event is to cut down on the lagfest. It's true many people will not be able to attend, but that may be part of the reason. =/

    Like i said, I'm not trying to be a jerk about it. I know many people came here to be with friends, but that was still your decision. =/ I moved here from the MY server for the very same reason. Granted I'm in cst so this doesnt really bother me, but I do understand where your coming from.

    ps. I wonder if theres a limit on how many times you can edit a single post? lol =P

    Dreamweaver is a server specially timed for the North American East Coast players. The event is then timed to best fit players living in that time zone.

    Maybe it has something to do with the GMs who will be doing the event? Past events have had huge lag, this one will probably be no different. You'll need multiple GMs to monitor what goes on (especially if they'll be spawning monsters judging by whose participating), help people with in game problems, monitor tickets and probably more. If the events were all held at the same time on each server, it would probably be an overload of work on the GM part.

    Time issues have always been brought up, but I haven't seen much a difference in what's been done.

    These events cause a population hike and massive lag. Be grateful you won't be able to attend. Seriously, frame rate drops to about 2/sec... essentially the event becomes a slide show or strobe effect. You could literally leave with a headache. I plan to steer as far clear of Arch as possible during event.

    Doing the event on weekends would solve that problem.

    Right now, PW-US if focused on US based players. Because there are European PW servers, this PW-US version can not act much on european territory.

    All I can say is, go to bed early, and wake up at 3 A.M. in Europeto do the event.

    Doing the event on weekends wouldn't necessarily make it better. The GM count would probably still fluctuate and still be the same amount of work if done at different times.

    GMs have to live too, lol. If you really want to participate, wake up at the proper time. If not, then it isn't important enough to value over your time sleeping or whatever.

    1st of all, you choose to play on a server based on US west coast, therefore you choose to play by the server time of that area.
    2nd, if everyone else gets weekands off work why dont most GMs? making it on a weekand makes it harder to get all the GMs needed while increasing the amount of work per GM because of increased participation.

    I woulnt mind doing the event 1 am - 3 am if it was on a friday or saturday or sunday...A normal day of the week like the one they choose makes it really hard for everybody

    Sure its easy for u to say... if u dont have a life its your problem but i wake up early everyday to go to school, i barely have time to sleep, and im so gonna put my health in cause just so i can participate in an event that should have been organized so EVERYONE could participate without having to make any sacrifice in doing so

    Funny how those who claim to have lives ***** the most about missing precious events in a MMORPG.

    Sorry, but the times are best suited for the timezone that the servers are dedicated to. The others either have to adapt to the time, move to another server, or miss the event.

    They can't cater to everyone.

    yes i have a life. And does it bother u so much that i want to enjoy the event like everyone else? I know its hard to satisfy everyone but its not impossible for them to delay 2 hours or so or to make it in another day... i was just making a point. im sure im not the only one that cant make to the event cause of the time. i made an observation so next time maybe they do it a bit diferent and people that work and study and whatever can also enjoy the events (not only the people who dont do anything else but playing)

    An event to cause even more lag in Spamosaur.... er, Archosaur... great, I'll be sure not to go anywhere near there at all on March 31. The crazy stone quest can wait for one day.

    and by delaying the event for 2 hrs, how many more people is missing out? people from east coast USA might now not be able to participate because its like what? 1 am on a weekday for them at the start, ending at like what? 3-4 am?.(after being delayed by 2hr that is)
    therefore, in order to cater to you, they lose people from east coast USA. if the event changes time, u might be able to join in, but other aren't.
    (should u wish to make the arguement that east coast people should play on east coast server, u should follow the suggestion yourself and play on a server that works for your time zone/schedule.)

    Wow, I think I'm strange. I've been playing PWI for a while now and still I have not been interested in any event so far.

    Somehow you guys are arguing for participating in one.
    I live in the right time zone BTW.

    haha, the only event i have joined in event partially is the fashion hunt, i looked for the gm twice.
    though if this event goes through and the lag isnt 2 terrible i would want a shot at it just because well.. events like these usually give up drops thats hard/ impossible to get normally XD

    When we decided to play this game only 3 servers existed... and Santuary was the last one opened.. so we joined.
    The fact is, the servers are all US... none is European.
    We have lost this event already... but hope next time... they can do the same event a few times a day cause many people would like to participate in the event.

    We got Pantufinhas who demands that the event hour be changed to suit her timezone and accuses everyone else who is comfortable of the time to 'have no life' (cause anyone who is able to play it is obviously not working).

    Then we have her friend Dominatiger here who is able to discuss a problem in an objective, mature manner, and even suggest a more viable option to please everyone. I support holding the event multiple times - maybe fashion it in a way that it continues through a day.

    Just incredible really.

    Case u didnt notice i didnt sayed " change this event so it can suite me". what i said was my opinon about the time and day of the event so maybe next event they could do at a day that suits everyone.
    I even sugest making it more than one times a day like my friend sugested. But u dont know how to read stuff right (just read my first post then u can see that i sugested that multiple times a day...)
