the most usual is to warn those who cross the line. and mods/gms to this in a nice way here.

ban is harsh and brings no profit. that's why gms often apply account suspension instead.

Yeah its just a warning that the punishment is there. Keep it within reason (and a lot of times even crossing the line) and you wont get a perm ban.

I think not many people read the rules and do not know about it, and even so if they banned all these accounts, this forum would be deserted. Well at least, a lot less activity.

In online forums power-posting is the term used to describe a user who posts a large number of empty or useless messages in order to increase their number of posts.

We could all learn a lot from crayons, some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names (like chartreuse), and all are different colors....BUT they ALL exist very nicely in the same box!

Basically it's like being drunk in public place, which is illegal in many countries. You can dance around and stink an shout all you want and nobody will touch you... they can hush you shout at you threat to call police or whatever it does not matter until...

someone calls the police and agrees to write an official complaint with his name on protocol and everything. Now they have case on paper and you can not argue in your defense later "but i was not disturbing anybody, search your files - no complaints."

Same here - you can wreak havoc in PWI but till people just QQ (which is actually just hot air) GM's hands are tied. But once the official tickets start to arrive complaining over your actions - they'll jump at you :)

Umm.... I think everyone violates that somewhat in this game lol

I dont see much violation of this, but I do see it in-game when you try to get a boyfriend/girlfriend's contact info lol

    11. No power-posting, spamming, bumping and/or flaming.

Yea.. a lot of people violated as well sometimes or another....

    12. No inappropriate discussion types.
Inappropriate discussion-types include, but are not limited to, the following discussion types: Politics, Religious issues, Abortion debates, etc. Common sense should dictate what is appropriate or not.

when i first started playing, back in November, they used to be *much* tougher on language, bad behaviour and so on, and actually did ban people. and even better, they announced it....great deterrant.

    now?b:scorn

no one thinks twice about going around the filter with filthy language/topics, etc.

the most usual is to warn those who cross the line. and mods/gms to this in a nice way here.
