Blue Bubble Useful?

I was wondering if Blue Bubble is a good healing skill. Some of people say its only use is against bosses that AOE, but other people say its useful against bosses that just hit hard. So Im just asking what should the BB be used for, what shouldn't it be used for. Is Iron Heart better?

The Bubble is a definite must in some cases! It can and will come in handy....like the HH Drum boss (at 50% life of course). It is also a must if you want to engage in Zhen parties.
**You will not use this all the time**
It works great: "Use 500 mana every 5 seconds to recover HP equal to 300 plus 20% of base magic attack every 5 seconds and cut magic damage taken by 50%."
The only draw back is that it is a mana sucker! So be prepared to use charms.
The Red bubbles is also great but not used as much, better to use if you have another cleric. ("Consuming 500 mana every 5 seconds, increases the attack rate and channelling speed of squad members 20% and increases any weapon attack damage bonuses by 100%.:)
Both are worth it!!

Ok what if MP isnt an issues. What if the the cleric can spend a lot of mp. Would you think the BB would be used all the time or is it against certain bosses that you wouldn't use it on? And what makes it so good against the drum boss?
Also would it be possible to use it in TW against the boss with a second cleric healing the barb?0 -

Ok.....it is a constant heal. If your party members are within a certain range (15meters i believe) it will heal them for 300hp every 5 seconds. I mention the drum boss b/c of its aoe. If there is a constant heal it will heal everyone in the party, instead of risking one or more party members dying. [It is usually thrown up when boss is 50% down and aoe gets stronger]
In terms of spending mp...this sucs it out. 500mp per 5 seconds adds up fast. Besides is is cheaper to go with a gold charm (especially right now), then with buying pots. If I am in a zhen party, I can go through an entire mp gold charm in no time! (But so worth it b/c we clerics can go afk....lol). This will make mp an issue unless you only want to use if for a very short time. My mp is very high up but with the amount that this utlizes, staying up for an extended period would be a pot nightmare.
This should not be used in TW because when you through the bb you cant move. You stand there. The spell will not stop until you esc or cancel out of it. In TW they target the cleric....we are bait, as I like to call us. So you have to keep moving for yours and your barbs survival.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Also bare in mind that it takes two sparks to cast it, but BB it well worth it.
RB has it's uses as well, try to have fun with it. It can be a deal breaker in some cases.0 -
My two cents on Blue Bubble: If you want to be invited to TT runs, GET IT. You really need a good Cleric with Blue Bubble for the Drum Boss in 1-1 in particular. It's costly, both coin-wise and SP-wise, but it is an awesome friend-maker, and might just get you invited along on FB mold runs and other profitable things. Of course, what everyone has said before is very true, especially this: Charms are a must for Blue Bubble. Period.Nayethe - 7x Combat Cleric

which is better ,more worthy to get and more commonly used??????
Tempest or BB?Wil we hav enough spirit to get both by then??0 -
Well, what's your focus? If you're a healer and like to do TT runs or be a part of Zhen parties, then Blue Bubble is your skill. If you're a PvP Cleric, then Tempest will be what you want. Beware, though, Tempest costs A TON (spirit and coin). You should level it now ONLY if you're really heavy into PvP.
You will get enough spirit for both eventually. No need to worry about that. It's just what you prioritize right now.Nayethe - 7x Combat Cleric

Blue bubble only has one level to max it, so it's a get it and forget it skill, unlike Tempest which has 10 levels."Amour is better suited to rainbow text, because he is a classy lady." - Nakhimov

BB has the advantage that it not only heals everyone near, but it also reduces the damage it takes. I've used it a few times when a veno had to lure a very strong mob; just to ensure that the veno wouldn't die from the initital strike before she could get her pet back up.
But, in general, BB is also useful if your party gets accosted by a large amount of mobs, and you can't throw enough normal heals to keep everyone alive. In general, BB is for when more than the tank gets hurt.
RB, however, definitely has its uses. I use it a lot more than I use BB - such as boosting a veno's heals to keep her tanking pet alive, or increase the damage of the 4 Blademasters who are whacking away on a boss. The only problem with RB is that your group either needs to come with a lot of healing potions, or you need a secondary cleric (one putting up BB and the other RB is a lot of fun).0 -
Thanks for all the input. What I really was trying to figure out is if Iron Heart was better the Blue Bubble. So far it seems that Blue Bubble is pointless against bosses that target only 1 person. And Blue Bubble should be used against bosses that AOE.0

With a well made party, usually only 1 primary healer and 1 other cleric is needed with a BM, barb, and 2 DD. The secondary healer goes between purges, adding an IB on the BM if it needs it, soon the light healing after AoEs, and tossing off the odd attack or two. Boss AoE does not always mean BB is needed.0

It can be useful in more situations than mentioned in this thread and is used on non aoe bosses too.
The last boss in TT1-2 for example is a snake that only deals physical damage to one target with no aoe, but it hits so damn hard. I did it with a well equipped level 78 blademaster and IH spammed him but he got 1 hit killed. Using blue bubble instead of IH allowed him to not get 1 hit killed and to use a combination of charm ticks and BB heals to stay alive. While IH would give him more overall heals that doesnt help if he is dead.
Thats something people often forget, the tanks have ways of staying alive too, various spells and potions and charms, so while your heals are slightly less using BB (heals roughly 1/3, damage 1/2) the fact that the damage is 1/2 gives your tank other ways he can stay alive and the total cleric+tank healing power is higher than just using IH.
Another example. If you have a boss where two clerics need to spam IH to keep him alive, one should BB instead as damage 1/2 makes the other clerics IH twice as effective relatively and then he also gets heals from the BB.
Yes its main use is when you have aoe or multiple mobs on multiple tanks, but it isn't always used like this. In my opinion BB is an absolute must have from the moment you get it, unless you are an unsociable type and never intend on fighting in groups.0 -
Snake in 1-2 hits hard? Are you serious? That boss is a cake walk. In 1-2 there's tent, that boss has an aoe that can spike to like 2,600 on me at the end of the fight. Without bb everybody that isn't the tank/heavy armored would be a 1 shot.
In 2-1 there's Wurlord. That boss hits so unbelievbly high that without bb your tank could die in a quick 2-hit succession. Not only do you need that, but ironheart stacked ontop of it. Though the boss doesn't have an aoe, bb is a requirement when fighting him.
Also in 2-1, there's Feng. At 75% hp, feng has an aoe damaging skill which decreases max hp. Usually by finish I have close to -1k hp from his debuff. bb is enough to absorb his damage and keep everybody alive.0
