Constant "Software error" crashes...

Ever since I started playing I keep having crashes to desktop with the bug report about an "unexpected software error". They happen randomly, I may play for an hour before it happens or just 5 minutes.

I've looked through the forum with the search option and I have to say I'm amazed, there were alot of others who have/had the same problem, and every time the same answers how it may be fixed. I've tried all these options I could find here and none seem to help in my case.
I've tried the verifying, it didn't help, I have the latest videocard driver installed, I have the AMD dual core optimizer program installed. No other game I have installed has this problem at all.

I've seen this question asked alot of the people with this same problem, so I'll just go ahead and post my computer's dxdiag specs in advance:

System Tab - System Information box -
Operating System : Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.080814-1236)
Processor : AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6400+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
Memory : 3070MB RAM

Display Tab - device box -
Name: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS
Chip Type: GeForce 8600 GTS
Approx Total Memory: 512.0 MB

Display Tab - driver box -
Main Driver : nv4_disp.dll
Version : 6.14.0011.8208 (English)
Date: 2/18/2009 14:44:00, 6185088 bytes

What can I do to fix this, as I'm liking the game for the most part so far.

    C:\Program Files\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International\launcher

try using the fixit file in this.

did you verify, if not do it.

also, since your cpu is dual-core, when you open the game, alt-tab and ctrl-alt-dlt right click on elementclient.exe and set the affinity to 1 of the cores.

btw great post, respectful, well worded, and informative of your problem. nice!

I will chew it up and leave,
I will work to elevate you,
Just enough to bring you down..."

I've tried the fixit.bat file and set the affinity to 1 core, neither helped, I still keep getting the crash to desktop software errors. And yes, as I already had stated in my primary post I have already tried the verifying as well.

The game is fun, but the constant crashing is starting to get on my nerve :(

Could be your video card overheating, or other parts of your system. PWI pushes some video cards pretty hard.

Try running the game in lower graphic settings, turn every effect off or down.

    See how performance goes.

I'm also replying to your email right now. Been away for a week tending to Dark Side events b:victory
