My Mount Won't Gain Experience!!

I've been riding my bear mount for like hours with full loyalty and the experience is still 0/155. Can anyone help me on this? Thank you!

    If it's lvl 11, it's maxed. Won't gain exp anymore.

    Level 1. Only purpose in leveling them is speed, lol.

    Yup they start out at 8 meters/sec unspurred or 9 m/s spurred. Then you can lvl them up until you hit 10 m/s. That's the max speed for the lower lvl mounts. It's 11 m/s for the more expensive and higher lvl mounts(by higher lvl I mean lvl requirement Ex: lvl 50 to ride).

    Or, to put it in a way that's less likely to confuse people...

    Each level your mount gains will give it a 0.1 m/s increase in speed. So a level 11 mount would move at 1.0 m/s faster than a level 1 mount. You gain exp by riding them around - HOWEVER! Their loyalty must be above 0, or you don't gain exp.

    So by continually feeding my horse water at level 11 will do no good ?
    When I fed him his yellow bar gets slightly bigger though !

    when i get a mount, i feed it seseme oil till its maxed out, then water to maintain
