    No one is responding...

I re-installed the game again and it crashes after 10 min.

Is it b/c this game engine is too old?

    I have verifed as well

    What else can I do?

try to update the video driver.

or find an older driver that is stable.

Go to the advanced option of the graphic card and reset the settings to factory .
I look at all the trollers, and Pvpers.. and know they wouldnt have lasted 30sec on Camelot.

Also check to see if there are updated drivers for your motherboard, and BIOS.

Then work on getting the drivers sorted out for your chipset.

If all else fails, send us Tech Support Terminators a ticket here: http://support.perfectworld.com/ticketing

and please follow the instructions here when send us the ticket: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=2005612&postcount=33

I use Driver Detective to check everything, since it is free to scan

The only things that are not updated are:

Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller (under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers)

    Realtek High Definition Audio

    HSB Human Interface Device
    .....

I download the driver from Nvidia official website. So I am pretty sure my video card driver is updated.

I used DriverMax to update everything.

My friend suggest lower Overall graphic option to the middle. The graphics could be too intense.

What other graphic settings can I do? Should I mute sound and music?

NVidia does have a problem with the manufactured cards

Even with all the drivers to date, and using softs to have all the drivers to date.; do your cards runs smoothly on any other game that needs DX 8+ for more than 2 hrs?

if not, try to change it, cause you may have a defect card.

I got no problem playing other games.

One exception is Lord of the Rings online. But I solved it by not putting everything to max. It was caused by overheating.

Only this game gives me crash but I don't think it is b/c overheating since it might crash in 10 min or 30 min randomly like that.

    thats your problem XP

no but seriously, its a driver issue, go into your device manager and roll back the driver or just do a complete driver uninstall then go here and get the fresh driver

    http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

    if that doesnt work

go to start > run > dxdiag

and post it. after doing all the tests of course

Trust in me and fall as well,
I will find a center in you,
I will chew it up and leave,
I will work to elevate you,
Just enough to bring you down..."

random problems with nv4 error was the standard problem on most GF7500

bad facturing, and the card while in a game caused errors.. either BSOD, or NV4disp.dll not responding, and no recognized video card afterwards, or framerate dropping to fotobook mode.

games werent in fault.. the cards were.; there are some topics about that on the 'net.

To Shanrune, I don't know much about computer. So I want to ask you how do you find the problem from

    Processor
    1. Name Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz
    Caption x86 Family 6 15 Stepping 11
    L2 cache size 4.00 KB
    Manufacturer GenuineIntel
    Processor ID BFEBFBFF000006FB
    Address width 32

and can you point out what's the problem?

I just un-installed my video driver via Add or Remove Program from My Computer.

Also I un-installed Nvidia PhysX which comes as part of driver compack.

PhysX "is a powerful physics engien that can utlize GPU acceleration to provdie amazing real-time physics effects"

Then I downloaded and installed the newest driver for 8 series from the same website.

I don't think it makes any difference though. By the way I don't find any remaining folder in Program Files folder after un-installation.

I think I will diable PhysX GUP acceleration and see what happens.

I will post my dixag in the following post

    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz <
    thar be the issue.

its an intel processor. intels aren't the greatest gaming cpu's though they have stepped up, i've never had problems with my AMD dual-core, where most people have problems with their intel.

its really jsut a matter of oppinion with this.

the second thing i noticed was wrong was that you are using XP home edition, notoriously bad version for games, especially online games, it just takes up too much CPU power.
just suggestions of course, if you..uh, want the "hook-up" pm me or email me
    xx.socially.outcast.xx@gmail.com

    next

i noticed nothing wrong with the DXDiag file, so if uninstalling it and reinstalling it hasnt worked.

    you uninstalled wrong.

    Go to My Computer

off to the side there should be a system information link

should be in a thing called System Tasks.

if you cant find it in My Computer

    go to Control Panel

click on Performance and Matenience and the first link should be See basic information about your computer.

once opened click on the Hardware tab. the first link option should be device manager. open that

after its opened find your display drivers

double click on the one that says nVidia 8800 blah blah

    click the driver tab

    click the uninstall driver button

    when it completely uninstalls

    restart the computer

    then install the driver again

im including pictures in case you cant find it or i described something terribly
    they'll be in order

the first picture is the only thing different in uninstalling the driver....

I just un-installed like you described and re-installed again with previous version of geforce driver. I heard it is more stable then current one.

I am giving it a try.

Currently I don't have the money to spend on buying a new cpu. Plus my computer is only 2 years old.

Thanks for your response though. Please let me know if you have more ideas.

I really like this game and are willing to try everything except spending a lot of money and messing around with my BIOS.

    It still crashed

    How much to get Vista?

Also is DirectX 10 available for windows xp?

Sorry, but what do you mean that since there is no error, it means I installed it wrong?

Is there any operation I can close from Windows Task Manager before playing it? Would that make a difference?

This is pretty clearly a video card issue. You're getting a BSOD, which is indicative of a hardware problem, and it's specifying nv4_disp.dll, which is an NVidia file. From what I've been able to find via Google, installing the most recent drivers should resolve the issue. If not, I'd recommend taking it into a service place and having them check to see if there's a problem with the card itself.

either the cards bios are messed up, or you need to update your bios to the lastest ones on your motherboard. By any chance what card is this?

test the card using this, do the benchmark test, after its run compare it to

    292 - 577

this, the number on your test must be somewhere between those two numbers, too high and it could over heat, too low and your VGA may be dead.

what i meant by you uninstalled wrong, is if you uninstall the driver for a VGA and then immediately without restarting install it again, then it wont work.

well it most definitely is a driver error, as stated by the GM, nv4_disp.dll is the driver controller.

have you tried to play this with any other games, and if so have you gotten any errors at all with them, visual lag, suddenly freezing up, anything like that?
