Sage/Demon & Arcane/LA

OK iv asked several people as to which type of armor a demon or sage should be using at 90, most people say sage goes with arcane and demon should be la but i haven't gotten any reason to why it should be this way, could anyone explain the reason behind this? i would prefer a reply from someone that knows mage and not someone that's gona make an assumption.

    Both should go Arcane eventually. Which type of armor you use from 89-99 is still based on preference. It'd probably better to go Arcane still, HH90 adds enough survivability to make the damage worth it, along with the higher leveling speed.


    I assume the demon/LA combination comes from the demon skill book for Earth Barrier, the 150% def would do more for LA than Arcane. But considering the demon earth barrier skill book is hard to get, the argument kind of fails.
    Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

    I agree that demon/LA combo would be nice, but when you consider diminishing returns, I don't think the effect would be as significant as most would imagine. Agree to the rarity of the book. I think demon arcane would be pretty sweet as far as damage and survivability, but I like sage better so a moot point :P

    u'll never get everybody to agree with this. To be honest, only peops that could really answer this question would be lvl 90+ that have tried both :)

    the only thing i can think of is people assuming hell earth barrier would be more useful combined with LA set, since theres more defense to increase on LA.

    thats not really correct, and i cant figure out any link between arcane and sage either so i'd just ignor what these people say.

    Comes down to variables and personal opinion.

    Sage is better for chi, demon is better if you plan to keep leveling (99+?)

    For me it's full int at 90 (I'm LA now) but still undecided on sage/demon.

    Not better for leveling, better IF YOU KEEP leveling. He's saying he thinks demon is better at 99+.

    Yeah, Sage is generally better if you're just gonna stick to level 90... but demon gets better if you plan to get 99+ and get the skills

    Hopefully by the time I have to make this decision there will be more information for me to compare, until then I think sage is the best bet for me.

    Actually... Heaven 99 skills are better.
