How do I buff my pet

I keep trying to put Bramble on my pet, but everytime I try it casts it on me. The spell says any friendly target? Is it me or can I not do it?

    You can't buff pets.

    You can buff Hercules and I'm thinking the pheonix too.. but those are extremely hard to get 8(

    woah?! I could buff legendary pets?! wow... but maybe Herc/Nix could buff me too? And other classes also could buff my pet? (this would be GODLY pet)
    My chars: 97 barb, 87 cleric, 91 veno, 80 archer, 74 Blademaster, 34 Psychic, 30 Assasin, 20 Wizard, 44 Seeker, 20 Mistyc.

    ^ I have SO many personalities to play them all! b:cute

    You can't buff any pets, even if they are Hercules/Phoenix.

    Pets can be taught skills that allow them to self buff. Hercules automatically comes with a reflect buff, a p.def buff, an m.def buff and an hp buff. Phoenix automatically comes with a p.attack buff. Any pet can learn these skills, but the scrolls are rare and only come from treasure box events like the arena one or dragon palace.

    Which skills are rare? I thought the zoologist sell scrolls, but never checked them out in detail because I don't want to spend money on a lowly golem. Which ones can't be brought? Is that because they're good?
