Naming pet with collar

I just bought my pet a collar to rename it. I have been to the zoologist, the pet skill trainer and the venomancer trainer and still can't figure out how to use it to rename my pet. Can someone help? Thanks! b:thanks

    there is an option at the zoologist, something like this: Rename Pet, remember to have it in your inventory when talking to the npc

    Thanks, I did that and it isn't working for some reason. I might just sell the collar grr..lol

    Dont sell the collar. When renaming your pet, make sure pet is stowed.
    Click the rename pet option.
    Now the window to rename in may have went behind a different window. Make sure this has not happened.
    When you find the correct window, drag pet icon to that window and choose the name you want up to 8 letters.
