Hello from a Newbie / Critical Rate

Hello Archer Community!

I'm a complete Newbie (Note: Not 'n00b'; I continue to play a handful of different MMORPGs) to this game having only downloaded the game a few days past. I decided to go Archer as the ranged damage-dealer has always been my role of choice and I'm currently following the 1Str/4Dex method of advancement.

My question to the experienced Archers here is this: at what level did you really start to notice and appreciate your critical rate? Much of my time at the moment is questing solo and while I'm criticaling about once every other enemy I kill, I am left wondering if this will noticeably rise at later levels?

So tell me, when did you all become critical monsters and really start to appreciate this profession for what it is? Following my current path, can I look forward to seeing that "Critical Hit!" sign above my enemies' heads a whole lot more? Your motivational/inspirational stories are most welcome!

    I hear at 8x you are able to string 4 crits in a row and you have like a 26% crit rate. Archers really shine at later lvls. As for right now (45) my crit rate is 10% and its pretty good, but I don't crit as much as I would like. (I have horrible luck) ARCHERS RULE WOOT!!! lol just had to say that. :D

    It depends on gear. My first character was an archer which got up to 47, and with only 9% crit, I never really felt my crit kicking in as often as I'd have liked.

    But about a month ago I made an alt, a new archer, with better gear, and it's at 45 now with 13% crit. I can kill mobs my level easily without being touched even once, with close to no hp/mp pots used, I find more pots than I use.

    So it really depends how much money you're making and the kind of gear you use. This time I choose to go with legendary weapons and low level 1% crit rings. I personally think it was definately worth the money. So, since you're reaching Lv42; Sinister Shooter = god. I don't know how the supply is on your server, though.
    Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

    I'd say you will start appreciating archers/your crit rate after you get your TT60 xbow at 60.

    And 26% crit at 8x? Sounds pretty unlikely until 88 with dual heavenly lord rings.

    ill say at around 80, since you will have atleast 20% crit. Ill say 1/5 shots is pretty dependable.

    I'd agree, around 20% was where i really noticed my crits hitting regularly.
    Meek with words, abrupt with arrows.

    what is sinister shooter?

    bow? xbow? sling?

    what effect does it have?

    is it a legendary weapon?

    i'm asking because i've searched AH and ecatomb but didn't find anything

    EDIT: plus, how much do they cost roughly?

    Regarding crit - I have 20% crit right now and i crit fairly regularly.Sometimes its 4-5 crits in a row, but yes... my crits are frequent enough to make me proud of being an archer... ^^

    theres no special time u notice ur crit goes up because it goes up by such small increments but at around lv 40-60 ish ull realize ur critting alot compared to the other classes...

    lvl87 rite now, and i got 23% crit but once i get to level 88 i will have 27%b:victory
