Cannot start up the game

I had a problem where an intelligible message came up when I clicked 'start' on the Perfect World Updater. All I had to do was press 'yes' and then I could play. While I was on a website my JavaScript prompt me to update it. After I updated it, the message didn't come back.

Yesterday, I alt-tabbed Perfect World and after a bit I tried to right-click to exit the game, but it kept popping up with a black screen for a second then back to my desktop (it normally does that after I alt-tab PW and click on anything afterwards... it's normal for me) so then I did ctrl-alt-delete to end program.

I tried running the game again and then the message popped up again, so I hit 'yes' and the game began to start up... but this time it kicked me back off.

I tried reinstalling the latest Java again and it didn't work.

I uninstalled PW completely and then reinstalled it.. nothing.

I can't download the Eastern Asian Pack as I don't have my install disc atm.. I've looked online everywhere for one for Windows XP Home/Professional edition but I can't find anything.

    but seriously. wtf is with all the D/c problems. i play everything EVERYTHING else that involves the internet.

    i've tried another server to test if it was jsut Heavens tear acting up, but as soon as i join it says Cannot Connect to Server then it lets me get in, takes about 5 minutes to do anything and constantly is jumping back ten feet if i try to walk anywhere....

    No that's not the problem, Nvidia is just another type of graphics card. I don't have that one, I have ATI (obviously)

    ATI makes graphic cards specifically for gaming.. and I have one of those

    I did this so long ago, so I forget: Does it allow you to look somewhere other than the cd?

    A lot of times it will ask for the cd, but also let you point it to somewhere else via a "browse" option. If this is the case, and your computer is like most retail ones, then you'll have a folder called C:\i386\LANG.

    i386 is basically a backup of your windows cd. If you can just point the installer to that folder, it should grab it.

    Unfortunatly I don't have that. It does have a browse option but none of them worked 8(
