i'm lvling too fast help!
Hey so yeah i have tons of quest and when i grind i feel like i can get 30% in like an hour in a half or maybe even less. I use sinister shooter (my god do i kill fast ty you guys for telling me to get that btw). so what's the issue? well i'm super poor!!!! i finally realized my flaw from lvl 1 to 42...i've been doing quests and trying to lvl as fast as possible and not farming for items to sell so during that period i was not making much money ...but now i'm lvling too fast and i have too many quests but i really need to make the moola! what should i do? i mean i guess i can stop doing quest until i feel like it but wont the quests dissappear after a certain lvl? say i grinded from 42 to 50 which i swear i feel i can do it in like 2 or 3 days will i'll still be able to do all those quests from 42 to 50? or should i just lvl and realize that the drops from the higher lvl will be worth more than what i pick up at lvl 42 ... (btw i've been grinding on fishes near angler village and collecting claws in batches of 100 and npcing them for 170ish thousand.)

ignore the quests, just do your cultivation quests. You can always get the quests you have missed except a few that have a level limit.

Quests are mostly for reputation. Its not necessary that you have to complete all the quests... Unless you plan on getting military equipments.
Example, low level venomancers skip all water quests.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Is...is...this some sort of joke?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

it's not the joke:D i really do see it as a problem for example, when i realized i needed the sinister shooter i was like 500k short because i just kept on questing and not trying to make money...so then i decided to stop for a bit and try to grind and save up to afford the sinister shooter. so basically it suxs being high lvl with no money, that's how i see it anyways, but not that i know the quests are still doable in the higher lvl i know what i should do now. ty for the info
btw just did my repair for my sinister shooter...not cool are legendary weapon always that expensive to repair?!0 -
Get yourself killed. Since you don't care about the experience, it'll be a free teleport for you. This is especially good since you grind in the ocean and it's a bit of a pain to swim back.0
-
lol i actualy do that some times i can afford the grind and the loss of exp but i just can't afford faster wings or mounts!!!0
-
lol in the 40s and 50s I dreamt of sums like 500k b:dirty
and btw why don't you create a veno for grinding. And if this veno is too fast in lvling too, then go farming and sell your mid-mats.0 -
Foxx_trott - Heavens Tear wrote: »Is...is...this some sort of joke?
thats actually an unexpected problem i face on my veno. i kind of stubbornly wanted to lvl a water pet from lvl 5 and to lvl a sawfly from lvl 8 and did a lot of grinding. now w/ quests, i am at least 2 lvls ahead of every pet that i have and the gap sure as hell ain't closing trying to lvl 4 pets. im sure this will be resolved in the lvl 50's, when there will be some degree of grinding involved, but right now the pets are taking too much dmg fighting mobs that quests make me fight..
as for you who are lvling too fast as an archer, u have a sinister shooter, all the rest doesn't matter. there will be plenty of time for grinding when u're lvl 60+.0 -
Well first of all your trying to level 4 pets. Thats trouble in itself. I have 9 pets, and only my Phoenix is the same level as me. Most of the others are in the 30s lol. And are mainly for show, and fun. I'll use one to lure, or something but thats about it. I've had to tame a mob close to my level just to use in instances to aid in DPS (I'm a heavy fox veno, I don't tank instances much)
Getting back to the OP and the topic of this thread. Grind buddy grind. Sell those DQ items you get. And make cash. I got news for you though, grinding as you know is going to make you level even faster, lol. Make your own gear as much as you can also. You will save cash by doing so, if you can harvest your own mats.
Last thing to keep in mind is this is a free to play MMO. You can play it without spending any real life cash. But the game is designed to make you want to spend cash, thats how they support the game, and pay their bills. You can pay for everything you want in game coins, but it takes ALOT of work. Real cash vs game coin, it's your call on how you want to get those wings, and mounts you want.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Do what I did:
Find a good spot to grind on that has alot of low/mid mats around for harvesting. After you memorize where all the spawn points are, go around collecting the low/mid mats (I do the non-herb mats myself, and ignore the herbs) and sell them overnight in a cat shop in archo.
Before I started doing this I was like you and was only focused on leveling as fast as possible and ignoreing trying to make money aside from making sure to pick up all drops. After I started farming mats as I went along places and making harvesting runs between grinding (do a round of mats, then go back to the first mats location that you picked up and grind there till it spawns again and go on another harvest run) I've been making bank.
Im only 56 and have over a 1.1mil now, even after spending 1.2mil on GA's (havnt used any of the stuff from the event yet, keeping the atk/hp shards for future TT gear, and waiting till after Jolly is gone for a while to either sell all the oracles to desperate people for larger profit margins or use em myself if I feel the need when the long lines for the mobs are gone).
Honestly, Archers are so cheap to grind with if you pick your mobs wisely. Sure, in the low to high 40's various Vipions might be better xp, but that poison drain my hp charm fast, whereas if I grind on melee or archer ground mobs, I can go a long **** time on the same charm and my only grinding expense are repairing my bow from repeated use and restocking a few thousand arrows which are dirt cheap. I put on my first gold HP charm around lvl 44 I think, I still have over 420k left on it now at 56. Its crazy how cost efficient archers are. Being that I played a cleric as my first char, and a BM as my clerics alt, I feel like I am able to grow money on trees with my archer in comparison.0 -
Some people will say archers are about the most expensive to play.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I find that really hard to beleive :x Archers are weakest at lower levels, and even then it wasn't all that bad (nothing a 2-3 bronze HP charms couldn't last me through). This archers on a new server too, so its not like I have any pass-me-downs or free good equip from a higher level chars funding. I never use mp charms, just an ocasional pot, I pick up more MP pots than I need to use the majority of the time while questing/grinding. Between the routine frost-reg-reg-knockback-reg to finish, it gradually builds up excess Chi which I then use on a winged shell every 3-4 mobs. Eventually I run out of mana, but this slows it down and I dont need to use a single pot till after about 12-16 mobs.
I'm not saying your lieing, im sure some people will say that, but I guess there spamming skills or something and making mp usage an issue? I even splurged 600k on a armor of barb sham around lvl 45 too... and still have all this money XD Its great.0 -
Xanthes, your like the other me that's exactly what i do now except i dont use charms...in fact potions are the least of my worry as i pick up a sufficient amount to get me buy because i really enforced the idea of killing before monster lays first hit..when they do lay a hit...it is usually time efficient to just sit and rest than using pots so saves me tons of money...yea h i think the only money draining thing are arrows, repairs, and skills (but u do that ever so often). ofcourse potion becomes a huge factor against magic attackers or any type of range attacks along with wood damage over time users...still trying to find the right combination of skills before they attack0
-
oh btw, do you guys know whats the next best mob to grind on who does close range melee attacks? right now i'm grinding on vamperic thresher lord (a shark) but i'm going to out lvl it by 4 pretty soon (correct me if i'm wrong but the drop rates decrease when your +3 lvl of the monster?). need a good mob that i can attack with out using pots so much and they give drops that are in high demands are worth alot when sold to npc like claws (1700 coins)
btw i'm lvl 43 and know of any mobs that drops slingshot ammos? the vamperic thersher drops lead shot so i dont really buy that much ammos !0 -
Wait, I am confused.... you want to make money for a mold that you can outlevel in 4 days? Just keep grinding, save your money and get your HH60 instead of farming it. You don't HAVE to get a sinister shooter.0
-
haha i already bought the sinister shooter, which is why i'm lvling so fast...i was trying to save up 500k when i was like at lvl 35 to buy the sinister shooter...do you guy have any tips on farming long range attackers?? seriously i simply cannot farm for elemental stones or elemental frag for the life of me..those types of mobs def. rquire a lot of potions...its like my achille heel ;D
the only solution to this problem that i've been slowly using is by trading my own dq items ie: dull claws, claws, furs and etc for others such as elemental frag/stone...its the only way i can think of so i dont have to buy them myself but i really like to mass farm these0 -
most of the pot spending is when archers have to fight mobs they'd rather not fight, as in when questing. thats when archers' inability to heal themselves make them spend. pots were bought in 40's a trip for me when questing cuz something would always go wrong like **** spawns behind me or multiple mobs get pulled.
you speak of archers spending next to nothing, and thats true when they grind mobs that archers are good against. at lvl 50's, i could kill terrestrial foxwings w/out ever needing a pot. but tell me to kill 50 rattus berserkers and it'd be at least a mana and an hp pot every couple of kills (mostly due to pyros being freaking everywhere)
when im actually grinding at an ideal location against ideal mobs, i do get a profit of pots from lucky packs.0 -
archers are the cheapest class next to werefoxes, aslong as you dont zhen0

The two types quilhogs (archer/melee) and leopardites (melee) right outside of Sundown town are lvl 47 I beleive. I started grinding on them at 45. Easy grinding, the archer type quilhogs might get a single hit in, and the leopardites/melee quilhogs hardly every do. Theres also a good supply of low/mid mats in that grinding region.0 -
can winged elves get land mounts? if so wat lvl? cuz im lvl 30 and have no idea how to get them...=(0
-
yah every class can get land mounts from the cash shop or pet trainer, pet trainer ones are nearly 2.5mil, ones sold by players that bought from boutique are typically 800k+ certain ones can only be ridden at certain levles, some can be spurred(10 or 15 gold) to make them faster and rideable at a lower lvl0
