Well, it's that time again. The scams break out on the servers.

If you see someone saying, "WTS - Beautiful Shards 90k each!" don't believe them. Go to their shop and LOOK and DON'T TOUCH. Players have been putting up blemished shards to scam. Click happy people go and quick buy a bunch of shards and notice 5 minutes later they are not what they wanted.

Yeah, stupid me. Went to go buy some citrine shards. Only to find out that they are blemished. Boom, 700k down the drain. Worked so hard for that today >____>...

Just saying, watch what you buy.

    I saw a guy buy 6 blemished shards for 150k each.

    Inexperienced people in a big rush....always check what you buy -.-

    Though when I was lower level I toyed with the idea of selling a viridian strand for 150K as a HH amulet...Ended up not doing it though xD

    yeah i remember one time i accidentally sold a near empty hp charm

    Huh? You can't un-equip HP charms once you've equipped them.

    So, the big pop-up window that appears and says, "Are you sure you want to replace your Guardian Charm? The old one will be discarded." is wrong then?

    I've only got 16k HP left on my current charm, so maybe I'll try it soon anyway. But frankly, I think it's probably safe for me to call "Shenanigans" at this point.

    just today i used the magic stone and teleported to delerium without any coins
    then joined a squad where nobody could see me or hear me had to relog :/

    You're an **** without any sense of sympathy. It is a scam.

    Websters definition of scam; a fraudulant or deceptive act or operation.

    Putting "Beautiful Saphire" as your Catshop title & then selling Blemished Saphires (which have an identical icon) at a cost identical to the going rate for Beautifuls, is quite obviously trying to deceive and mislead the buyers. Its akin to Someone Selling you a new Rolex watch & when you get home it breaks, you check the tag & it says Romex.

    To the Op, i'm sorry you got taken in. Ppl always do this kind of **** so i always check whther catshop, or trade window, or anything like that with strangers. Always hover over & verify what you're getting. Its unfortunate, but at least you learned the lesson and wont allow yourself to be scammed again.

    Yesterday in arch, I saw someone selling blemished citrine shards and he was advertising them as beautiful shards. I even messaged him and said, "nice try". He said "thanks for letting me know about that". I came back 10 minutes later, it was still blemished citrine shards.

    Imo, people like this should be banned. It's not even an "accident" of putting up the wrong shard in this case.

    when you equip a new one the old one disappears no matter how much is left on it.

    And don't forget, texmod is one sided. Even if you changed the texture, only you would see it. The other player would need to be running the same mod, or they'd see the default graphics. (BTW: I don't texmod PW. But have a lot of experiance with it from Guild Wars)

    And If I list some shards in my catshop for a higher price then normal, and lable the catshop "Shards, 70k" and people buy these shards, why should I be held accountable for their stupidity?.

    If I in NO WAY false advertise my products, then it is NOT a scam. When you put a limit on what people are suppose to price their item as, you are attempting to control people.

    now those who blantly lie and say they're selling beautiful shards in tells, tradechat, catshop title, yeah they're scamming you. But here's a eye opener.

    YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS. just set a fire and people will burn themselves. Simply because they are greedy and are rushing through trying to buy out as many ppl as possible, they make the mistake of not seeing the item. it only takes a mouseover.

    Instead of whining about those who are profiting off the laziness of noobs, why don't you beg the GMs to put NEON LIGHTS over item titles so then maybe the lazy noobs wont burn their hands as often.

    I've burnt my hand before, so I know how it is, I lost ONE MILLION to learn my lesson, how many of you can say the same? But you know what? ever since then I've been more experinced and double check everything I buy or sell.
