L2PLAY.
You have one of the most inexpensive classes in the game. only thing you have to buy is arrows/bolts/pellets and you make profit after that. You're doing something wrong. Too many QQ'ers in this game.MOAR PLANS b:angry

repair/arrows/pots.. need more money than get drops.. if even fight against near own lvl range mobs0
-
Repairs are a B.. too, so don't forget that. Plus archers need more healing materials than most because they are the most fragile physical attack characters in the game.
I am an archer and seem to be gaining more than loosing, but I guess that is from how I play.
For drops, they are a fixed percentage, and are not effected by class, or anything.0 -
in lower lvl archer get more than lose.. but something 60+ it go different.. like buy 50 mp/hp pots.... arrows 1k lowest one.. go use them.. after used.. repair/buy same amount pot.. sell dropss.. EVERY drop.. and you money is - 10-15k0
-
I don't know if you're using miji, or not because I don't. I make enough money from drops for repairs and mana hiero. I rarely get hit and ammunition is SUPER cheap. Please don't tell me you use the best ammunition possible.0
-
miji? i use drop arrows/lowest ones.. and still i get my money always down.. and i speak only grinding.. not anyfb/TT/other dungeons.. if even get same amount money than use.. where get skills then? games should be able to pay whit grinding.. whit npc items.. not butique items..0
-
A lot of people struggle with money for skillsb:surrender0

For the 60+ comment, I am over level 80 and I gain plenty grinding solo. The same goes for when I was a low level.
It is a combination/balance of..... gears, which mob, HP/MP item used, which skills or no skills at all, how fast you kill the mob, how many hits you take per mob, etc.0 -
i wasnt buy eny skills after 60.. and 74 atm.. grinding lvl73 mobs.. what hit only if i miss.. and killing them 4 hit.. and still losing money when i grinding.. not have mp or hp charm.. and wasnt buy arrows like 5 lvls.. bc frends give all arrows to me too.. only repair and pots cost more than i get drops.. something should be different in drop rates.. grinding should be profitable..0

i know that using charms is cheaper.. but first need have money to buy them.. sometimes i dont even have money to do Crazy stone.. what took abaut 23k.. i hope some1 explain how that is posible whit grinding.. bc whitout grinding wasnt get lvls.. and quest give low money rewards..0

save up for both an mp and hp charm, and always reserve enough to buy another.
mp pots cost 2.25 times more than gold mp charms, and that is at 400k per charm.
hp pots cost 1.5k more than the gold hp charms, and that is yes again at 400k per charm.
Plus to top it off, life powders are 2k-4k and give 50 hp per second for 10 minutes, and that is 30k hp total. I use them for extra coins saved, plus my charm hardly ticks with one on.
Yes, repairs are allot, especially if you are not using the correct gear for the mob you are grinding at. try pushing the mob away per kill for less hp taken, keep it away.
Use less skills as possible.
As for getting money to buy the charms, farm a few mats, or go to a spot with mobs a bit above half your level, and also a high density of mobs in an area.

Then you are doing something horribly wrong. How often are you using skills? Archer skills cost a lot of MP and you don't have a lot. Most archers I've seen/heard from just use an opener skill (high dmg to start the battle), the slow skill, and the knockback skill, with normal attacks in between. Normal attacks save you MP, which means less MP charms/pots. Also remember that you do 1/2 dmg if attacking a ground creature from the air, so it'll take twice as long to kill, which means twice as many skills and more chances for it to get off shots at you.
If charms and pots are really costing you that much, then I'd suggest investing in the alchemy skill. You can make your own, and ones much more effective than pots, on top of a whole slew of other things. With the items that add damage, you may even find you kill things easier, and with the rarity that you should be taking hits yourself, you may make good use of those defense increasing/damage reducing items to all but eliminate the need for HP pots/charms for grinding. All of that is free with nothing more than some mat farming.0 -
are you using spells like thunder shock and lightling strike for grinding? Never ever do this. You can kill mobs easy by using water and knockback arrows. If you dealing with increased defence and increased live mobs, use winged shell. Its blocks most damage and regenerates mana.
This is the way i grind and i rarely have to buy any potions, since there are enough potion drops. And if you have any points on vit and int, buy some point reset scrolls and go pure dex build.0 -
if your gear and skills will not let you solo, you should try and help someone else. If you play in a squad, your "gain per kill" will be lower but so will your costs and you should be completing fights faster which also helps you collect monies and stuff. (Of course, you might need to spend some time learning how to work well with your squad members, but this can be very worthwhile.)0
-
first, don't use anything other than woven fang arrows. second, don't pay for arrows. you can go to any of the noob fields and pick up lots of them for free, and also while you're grinding. people leave ammo on the ground all the time.
you could even try out different weps to use all 3 types of ammo.
have a different character. some classes use little to no potions, and can collect ammo and pots for your archer. at the same time, they may get quest rewards or drops that would be good for another of your characters. you can be your own best friend. b:pleased
and as previously recommended, learn apothecary skills and gather herbs and mats wherever you go on all your characters. if you don't want to invest in upping the manu skills, a friend or faction member would likely be very happy to increase their skill level using your herbs and mats to make you things. both of you benefit....b:victory
and skills cost money for everyone in the game, and it gets steeper as you level.
and also as recommended, watch your skills usage. either invest points in increasing mana(or gear that will), or don't use the high cost skills as much

Archers is not for noobs u only grind with 2 skills colligattion bolt and aoutcold blast(dont know the name in this version) and fury thats all.... u cant be a skill spamer like the ones i already c here... the normal hit is faster and hits almost the same.. skills are only for PvE-Bosses.. buy the cheapers arrows and say to ur friends to keep them when they get drops... that way u only need to pay the wep repair ....0

My advice is to stop spending so much time complaining on the forum and try some new techniques. I have a lvl 20-ish archer and she poops money. I'd hate to see you play a BM, THEN you'd complain about having no money![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

repair/arrows/pots.. need more money than get drops.. if even fight against near own lvl range mobs
there's at least 2 of ur prob's there lol. an archer shouldnt have much repair because they're supposed to kill before the mob gets to them, or not very much longer after (and thats if u've ran thru ur frost arrow, knockback arrow, and whatever else there is)
pots are EXPENSIVE! 'nuff said.
and on my archer, last night, in not very long of a time at all i gathered the tier2 lumber and some coal and made 1000 falcon feather arrows. didnt cost me a thing and 100 of the 1000 turned out elite with double the damage bonus and critical hitrate +1%
it would have cost me 10,000 coin to buy 1000 plain falcon feather from the blacksmith, and however much 1000 X (woven fang arrow cost) would be.
instead of spending 10k coin on 1k falcon feather, or even spending however much for 1000 of the woven fang, i spent a little time gathering 20 tier2 lumber and 10 tier2 coal and made 1k falcon feather. presto, ammo enuf to last a good while with just time invested and +20damage to every shot. all of that without spending a single coin.
i also dont teleport anywhere unless in a MAJOR hurry for something very important, i havent bought a single pot either and i do alright. i'm about to be doing even better because last night after making 1k falcon feather and 100 turning out elite, i decided to make all my ammo from now oni'm pro all classes, and against none in particular..
but the age old QQ about venos is just that. OLD.
QQ'd about a nix lately? check out this thread n tell me who's "OP" lol..

im one of those. i dont have a second computer to set up a permanent catshop, so i have to sell what i get to NPCs, at a huge loss, and spend the time grinding that i would sitting as a catshop.Viriilink - Lost City wrote: »A lot of people struggle with money for skillsb:surrender[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

totally missing the point everyone?
Different classes dont have different drop rates. You're just unlucky or something (like me)0 -
Archers aren't that bad compare to wizards/clerics for example. Arrows are alot cheaper than spamming mp pots b:victory
But some classes just cost more than others to grind with, and you will never make money grinding with an archer. Light amour have bad defence against both magic and phy mobs, your hp charm will tick whatever you grind.
I have a lvl 80 veno to support my archer financially.
I suggest you go make a veno to ^^0 -

WTF are you serious?
i make a minimum of 150k an hour after repairs,if im at a good spot sometimes 250k+, i GET more pots then i use, don't use MP charms, hp charm for emergencies (typically 1-2 weeks to burn it off and most that is from TT)0 -

Second this. I have a crack archer for fun and I make more profit than I do on my own veno (Which is sad, might I add) so yeah. Your doing something wrong and like Governator said, there's too many QQers b:sad[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Wait until u cant grind fish anymore than no more 150-200k per hour ^^
I didn't have to use hp/ mp charm either at fish and made pretty decent money per hour. Same at butterflies. But its only like lvl 78-91 when you can grind Butterflies than Fish you will get a good profit per hour.
Than you only have lvl 97 spiders to grind on and unless u have cleric healing + purify you outside party your hp-charm will run faster than mp-charm in zhen party >.<0 -
