Lvl to solo Jewel?

I have been looking on forums and asking in game and can not find anywhere a rough estamte of what level you need to be to safely solo jewelscan for others that need him.

I am currently a lvl 66 veno and have just gotten phoenix once I have it up to my lvl can I do jewel or how high do I need to be?

I rember jewel being a mess for me and would love to help others with it but it wouldnt help much if I died attempting it b:chuckle

    Not anytime soon, or ever. Jewel will debuff the phoenix and your physical defense to nothing then hit you with physical aoes.

    KK I didnt relise jewel has a debuf. I know after 2 failed partys I fianly got him done when a lvl 84 veno with a elsyam fowl soloed him for me so I though with nix it might be lower.

    Guess I will just have to stick to doing the ground bosses for now that I have been doing.

    Last I tried was at level 80, got jewel down to 20%, then he debuffed(or buffed himself? wasnt paying too close attention lol) and 1shot my phoenix.

    Two other venos and I, all of us in our 70s, tried to trio Jewelscalen a couple of weeks ago. We pulled him to the ground so my Herc could fight him. With the three of us spamming heals, we were able to keep the Herc going fine despite the debuff. Unfortunately, we didn't know about the physical AoEs and got killed by them when Jewelscalen was getting low on health. Now that we know what he does, we're pretty sure we could beat him with proper preparation--fox form and physical defense gear, plus hp charms--but I'm still not entertaining any notions of soloing him in the near future. b:surrender

    Defnetly sounds like a mess to solo.... wonder how the one that helped me did it? Was busy hidding in a corner myself lol
    I just hear so many asking for help on him that i'd love to be able to help them.

    Oh well gives me a good reson to keep lvling with something to strive for ..some day jewel I will get you, some day...

    Blademasters can actually tank him better then barbarians (unless it's a high lvl barb with loads of HP ofcourse) because they got alter marrow and aura of golden bell which increases their physical defense a lot.
    We did him with 2 clerics healing our lvl 70 blademaster tank. All I did was throw in some ironwood scarabs to lower his phys def every now and then and stayed well back to avoid his AOE.
    So a team of 4, consisting of 2 clerics (lvl 55+), 1 lvl 70-ish blademaster tank and 1 damage dealer (lvl 60+) was enough to tackle him rather quickly.

    Solo should be hell for any veno, who is not very very high lvl or using gear with immense +phys def. Your pet should have at least 8k phys def, cause he debuffs for 5k and 3k is barely enough to keep pet alive.

    I tried soloing it at level 86 with my phoenix. Got him down 1/3 before he debuffed phoenix, and I was slowly losing the healing battle. But it wasn't a one shot.

    Well im only lvl 58 and i was bored at 57 and thought well y not lets go wind up jewlscalen so i went along boom 1 shot pet dead so i whip out a second and then thrid and manage to survive 3 pets before he killed me and did about 1k damage to him its great fun ^^

    u may have noticed im crazy i allways try and solo high lvled bosses when im bored ^^

    If you wanna solo then you should have gotten a herc. Pheonix is all damage but defense similar to normal pets. The herc has buffs which damn near double his defensive capabilities.

    That would work if you somehow managed to lure him down to the floor and survive the AOE long enough to pull your herc out once you have boss close to the floor.

    I do have herc as well but luring and swaping on a boss not the easiest task in the world especially with jewel lol.

    Soloing bosses for others is like a hobby for me was just tring to figure out if jewel could be added to my list.

    Sadly I find many needing help and I am the only one willing to help at that time with a certain boss thus the reison for inquiring about soloing. Doing bosses with a group is more enjoyable but not always fessable.So I like to know which ones I can do without a group when needed at thoughs times.
