At lvl 26 you may not understand yet as you can use potions to keep yourself alive. At higher lvls the charms are essential (or at least highly helpful). When they put out the charm packs it drastically reduces the prices of the charms. For example, I used to be able to buy a gold HP charm for somewhere around 300K but since they took away the packs the prices have been around 400K. 100K can be quite a bit of difference.
As far as the only one use comment, you obviously haven't tried a charm. It works until it is gone. I don't really know exactly how many HP/MP each one has but it is like having a gas tank that doesn't empty and they are far cheaper than using pots.0 -
ok. u pay 300k for one item recover your hp. you still agree that is a one time use but there is a time that it will run out. so my other question is how long will it last?0
-
It depends on how much you tend to tick them >_> And also how much you lose per tick. It's insanely useful in PVP and can save you a lot of hassle in PVE also.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

i guess i still learning. let me get this straigh then . Gold Guardian Packs restore 600,000 HP. is that mean the 600 000 hp recover will goes off by the number i recover until it hits zero(the charm one)? is it auto recover?0

And, the benifit to the cash shop buyers is more value for their money.
For example: Purchasing 5 gold charms would normally cost $4.50 each for a total of $22.50. With the charm pack you get the same number of charms for only $15.00. That alone is a very nice deal but they also through in the bonus chances to win other nice things which adds to the value.
I'm at a lower level and love them because sometimes in the heat of a battle, I forget to drink a potion...the guardian charm makes up for my lack of mindfulness.0 -
You should have gotten a charm as a quest reward. Gold charms last much longer. Buy 4 get 1 free is very good for these items.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Yes, it auto ticks at 50% HP. It does have a cooldown though.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
My opinion is that no low lvl non cash user buy heiros. Ur better off getting pots over time than having a big chunk of ur money gone in one go.
At around 31-32 I bought two bronze (MP and HP) heiros. The next day both were totally gone and I'm a veno. HP one ran out a bit quicker because I went afk and lost damn near 40k on it. But still...the MP one ran out wayyy too fast lol.0 -

ok so it works like this. A golden charm recharges 600,000 hp which you lose. Which means if you have a total of 2,000 health, the charm will restore your health 600 times. Each charm is different but gold hp charm restores your health when it reaches 50% I THINK im not sure, so technically the charm automatically heals you like a cleric everytime your health goes down to 50%. Same goes with Mp charms, its like an autopot system that heals you up to the number it specifys (like 600,000 for hp charm)
When you use it, you get a bar at the top of your healthbar saying 600,000. When it heals you (lets say it healed 1000 hp if you got 2000 total) then it will show it has 599000. However you cant be too crazy when training because after it restores your health it takes about 5 seconds to be used again. Which means if you get attacked by a boss you shouldnt be fighting and it damages you 1000 every second...the charm wont save you. So be careful when using this charm. It's like buying potions that equal to healing you up to 600,000hp but it must recharge as well.
Also, I calculated it and when you use potions lvl 40+, charms save you a whole lot of money, are more dependable to clicking a potion yourself in the heat of battle, and you train much easier and faster.
p.s. when people say "tick" they mean the use of the actual charm. So when someone says I got ticked, it means their opponent damaged them enough to reach their 50% to "tick" the charm to be used. blaahhhh im bad at explaining lol~~Romanian Princess~~0 -

Yes. The charm restores a total of 600000 HP before it is used up. It does not recharge so after it is fully used, it disappears.
An example:
Your total HP is 600 & you just bought a charm and equipped it. While in battle, your HP drops below 300...the Guardian Charm now restores 300 HP to you. The guardian charm now has a total left of 599700.
After 10 seconds the guardian charm can automatically 'activate' again. Lets say that this time your HP have dropped down to 150. The charm then restores 450 HP to you. It reduces its total by the same amount. Therefore, the remaining HP the charm can restore is now: 599250
It goes on like that until the HP in the charm reach 0.
Hopefully, that helps clarify how they work. You could also think of a charm as a bottle of water...you drink it whenever you're thirsty and once the water is gone you throw away (or recycle) the bottle.0 -
A guardian charm fills your health to max when it dips below 50%. After this it has a 10 second cooldown where it won't refill your health. The price per hp point is half that of buying pots and its impossible to over-pot. Since you often have full health you also won't be regernating as much. Overall it saves money and it will save you often.
The mp charm ticks at 75% with a cooldown of 5s. Unless you can unload your entire mp bar in 5s you will always have enough MP with an mp charm equipped.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I got my first charm around lvl 25 or 30 and it lasted me a very long time. If you buy a gold HP charm around those lvls it should last you a long time since mobs aren't doing that much damage to you. At the lvl I am at a gold HP charm will last me 2-3 weeks as I am a BM who uses sutra a lot and has a cleric friend who helps me out quite a bit. I do not use cash to buy them as I can make 300-400K easily with a bit of grinding. The same goes for lower lvl players. They too can make the money needed to buy a charm with coin instead of gold. It will take a bit of grinding and selling your DQ items but it is very possible. I acutally believe I had more coin at lower lvls as skills cost a lot less.0

The price at the cash shop per gold charm is 4 gold, 50 silver which is $4.50 real money. At least that was the price when I looked last night, before the update. Did they change the price of the individual charms as well?0 -
My boutique says gold charms one buy one costs 4 gold. Don't know where your silver came from.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
