Dual Swords/Blades....why the discrimination?

Im a a pure sword/blade user, i have been using single blades since thats all Twilight Temple offers until lvl 80. At lvl 80 i can use dual swords, which i consider are the best weapon on all....then at lvl 90, problems start....every other weapon gets berserk, single blade gets berserk, my question is: why dont dual swords also got berserk, or at least another skill that equal to it like gloom?, then after that come the warsoul weapons, guess what, no dual swords either....surprise....my question is simple: WHY? is it because if dual swords are given a skill like that, they will be overpowered? or is there another reason?
And another question: At lvl 90 what is better? a single sword (low attack) with berserk, or dual swords (high attack) with 1% crit?
PS: If you are going to say something like, change to axes or spears, please dont post, this is not a discussion about anything BUT swords
PS2: i know im not even close to lvl 90, i just need some answers to my questions
PS3: This is regarding PVP, i already know that for PVE single are best. I dont wanna use single swords in PVP cause they inflict MUCH less damage, so dual is the way too go.

Just use the single blades. While there are slight differences in fighting style between single and dual blades, there isn't that much difference. Dual blades you use more skills and single more normal attacks.
And i have no idea how the Gms decided what type of weapon each Warsoul was an what not.0 -

ummm....this a question regarding PVP, in PVP u dont use normal attacks, you use skills, and dual swords = more damage for skills, ill edit my initial post to avoid misunderstandings0 -

The reason the weapons are like that ( Single and Duel Blades ) is that this game is seriously unbalanced. Since they wont fix it , I ended up making a Wizard so I can just PewPew.
What can you expect though with a free game.0 -
Meh, probably the reason being is that swords have myriad sword stance which is the hardest hitting ultimate and myriad+berserker+critical hit=dead people. The devs were probably thinking along the lines of "swords have critical hits to up their damage, so let's give them berserker on a weaker blade."
It's a bit annoying. If we have berserker dual blade, our damage might be comparable to pole.0 -

What u mean? ....dual swords are stronger or equal to poles/spears, just check a dual sword and spear of the same lvl and you will see what i mean0 -

Oops, kindly eliminate the "might be" please. I was thinking in terms of the current situation of them having stronger TT weapon then us. I confused the single blade skill damage with the duals. Ever since I start using TT weapon my skill damage never manage to beat any pole.0 -

i dont think its fair if all the other weapons have an advantage like axes have tons of stuns/aoe and spear has range/line aoe/dps....i think they should add some more dual blades into the game that has berserker so we have an edge in something other than being "ok"0 -
...Are you serious?
Stop crying and play the damn game. If you don't like it, feel free to leave.Everyone here is ridiculously oversensitive.0 -

anyways IMO the way to go is blad0

i wonder why you'r asking sth stupid at the first place...wat do u expect to hear from other fellow playas?
"WHY? is it because if dual swords are given a skill like that, they will be overpowered? or is there another reason?"
no one here are the developers of the game... and u don't want the advice on the weapon choice either.
Just send a tick to the supporting team...~~~~la la la~~~~~~

why i dont submit a ticket you ask?
answer: tickets are for problems with the game, this is not a problem, its just a question0 -
your first question is completely clueless for anybody to answer....
For 2nd question, its lvl90 blade that gives berserk..
My suggestion is that legendary blade is far better than the dual sword that u mentioned in anyway...
BUT check this site before u decide - http://janelh.wdfiles.com/local--files/dusk-swords/swords.JPG
If you choose the gold blade, your weapon path will b at the end which mean u can't decompose it to craft the higher lvl weapons.
so choose wisely..b:bye~~~~la la la~~~~~~

Is there a homepage/site that links to weapon "maps" like this for all TT weapon series? I tried backspacing thru the directories but was blocked. Thanks.0 -

I want to see if I'm understanding your post correctly.
You mean that the ultimate double sword plus a particular ultimate skill is equivalent to the ultimate single sword?
I need to know this, since it looks fare to me and I want to keep my double sword and/or double blade character as it is. I don't like the single sword.
However, if I need to do the change, I'd like to do an educated decision.0 -

If you're asking about the myriad+berserker+critical thing, I was just pointing out the nice high damage of myriad. Dual blades do more skill damage on the whole it's just that the add on ability of berserker (which can deal 2 times the damage) is on the TT90 single blade rather than dual blade. This can make single blade have higher damage than dual.
TT sword weapons do have dual swords it's just that they are not available to you until lvl80. So you might have to end up using single blades for 20 lvls if you still want to use TT weapons. You can always craft your own 3 star weapon if you decided to stick with duals.
The good thing about single is that you can just **** at the mobs till they drop and gain like 1 spark every 2 mobs (always nice to have a spark), not to mention that it's very mana conservative. The only few skills you would use most of the time would be spark eruption, diamond sutra, aoelian blade/roar of the pride(for magic cancelling). I'd say with a TT70 ghoulish sword it takes about 17~18s to kill a mob if there is no misses. The time would change depending on the amount of criticals and misses.0 -
ty i have been wondering about dual vs. single swords and this has helped clear up my confusionb:victory0

True true true, especially the part about single + berserk doing more damage than dual....but think about this....what about dual + berserk + myriad + crit O_O O_O O_O you might as well be getting 50k+ crits from that combo with an unrefined weaponb:dirty
about the single being better for PVE....DEFINITELY....but im talking about pvp, remember you dont use normal attack in PVP and sword users need more spike damage in PVP to kill their target before charm kicks in...spike that can only be gotten with dual swords so......
REQUEST: Make a Dual Blade/Sword with berserk skill, tyb:pleased0 -

.
How do these 3 star dual swords/blades compared to TT single swords?0 -
TT Single Blade(strong) < 3 star dual sword/blade(stronger) < TT dual swords(strongest)0

hopefully last question:
if I stick with 3 star dual sword/blades. Can i still get TT dual swords at the end? or do I have to shift to single sword/blade for a while?0 -

between lvl 60-79 Twilight temple only offer single blade, at lvl 80, dual pwnage begins0 -

What are you basing that ranking on? The 3-star's value would completely depend on what add-on features you randomly get for your 2 or 3 and whether it happens to get a socket in it. In terms of the time and material costs to craft it, I'm not sure, but suspect it would be higher than, say a TT60 weapon but maybe lower at TT90. Just out of curiousity, I went to pwdatabase for numbers on the options around level 60. Unfortunately, this leaves out the TT dual swords, but...
TT60 Sword: 339-629 +56 -> Avg=540 DPS=599.4 (90% socket)
Lg61 Sword: 393-589 +49 -> Avg=540 DPS=599.4 (90% socket) HP+145 MP+185
2*61 2XSw: 420-568.........-> Avg=494 DPS=449.5 (48% socket) 1-2 add features
3*61 2xSw: 455-616.........-> Avg=535.5 DPS=487.3 (63% socket) 2-3 add features
Absent some good additional features, the only dimension in which the dual swords possibly excel is that they have lower variance in damage (so you will be more consistently hitting for slightly less damage) and a very small probability of 2 sockets.0 -

thanks for the repply. Since I like my duals, I will manufcature during those levels 60-79.0 -
Hmmm...i think blades r the best btween all with the right build
im mainly a high DEX BM using force balde atm with the right eq and point's
u can kick **** anyone
but still 1 prob veno's still can figuer how to beat 1 in dual's they use there brumble reflcet all our attack's
but in tw dif story
note high evasion+accuracy u can kill any class except veno's
the moment i get my misty ring's ill have 4500 accuracy
my Evasion atm is 2600+archer buff it go to 3700
after all this long talk still have 1 question what's better for me go sage or demon note that sage skill r cool for bladers but i have low HP for my BM
anyway...if anyone got anything to say about what i writed feel free to answer or replyb:bye[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]THE BIRD OF THE HERMES IS MY NAME EATING MY WINGS TO MAKE ME TAME0 -
When you are confused the answer is obviouse, find the routes, find the cost then go the cheap way.
Then it hurts less if it was the wrong choiceWe're MysticAve my name is not Dave

I dont think that its unfair the thing u wanna say.Look at the speed and accuracy of an axe BM vs a sword BM. Im a sword user btw.0

Not having HH duals up untill lvl 80 sucks, nevermind berserk and other **** at higher lvls. Atm Im using HH60 pole/3star, lvl51 duals, but have 2stars, lvl64 duals in my bank. Those lvl64 blades are +3, and +2 crit and I bought them from AH for 90K. Lucky, lucky...b:pleased0

No mold. at 70,80 lvl... Only 61 and 88...b:surrender[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
