Water vs. Air

Ok. I caught these little slip-ups after only playing PW for about 15 minutes.

1) Why is it that the Winged Elves have limited flying time, yet they can breathe underwater indefinitely? That seems odd to me. If there is going to be a limit to flying, there should also be a limit to swimming/diving. I seem to be missing the reason their flight is limited.

2) When a Winged Elf is flying, the character suffers an attack penalty, yet underwater they attack as normal. Realistically, your movement and combat capabilities would be severly hindered underwater, whereas in air that wouldn't be an issue. Again, I'm missing the reasoning behind the attack penalty while a character is flying.

    so you're suggesting to gimp winged elves in water?

    the flying character only suffers an attack penalty against targets on the ground, and this applies to any other class. if no other class is gimped in the water, why winged elves?

    Limited flying is only till 30. It's to help even things because no other class gets to fly till 30.

    I think what she means is to think of the game a little more realistically. As in, if you were flying in real life you wouldn’t get any weaker when fighting land or air targets. While we are putting everything in a real stand point you have to think about the water, in reality if you where to swim 1 you couldn’t stay under forever, 2 you lose a lot of speed and 3, you would lose most of your power.

    I personally agree. They could have put more thought into the land and water.

    I remember reading something like "you can swim so easily, its just like flying" in one of my low level quest texts. So I think they did put some thought into this.

    And would "running out of air" make any of our quest fun?

    Would probably be:

    Omg, I can not breath! b:cry

    Omg, I can not finish this quest! b:angry

    Omg, they horrible people! b:infuriated

    and they have a race that looks like atlanteans whatever their called i think there should be a hinderance on other races and give the water breath and more bonuses possibly underwater to that race to give them somthing unique like the elves

    I'm seeing the OP as a huge noob with lv 1 wings and trying to kill everything from air stillb:chuckle

    You have unlimited flight with all other wings, only natural wings have timer, and you only get penalty shooting ground mobs from the air because if you didnt, you could kill them all from the air easily before they can attack back and beat every quest no difficulty. Play the game further before making dumb posts
