What stories really touched you when you read/watched them? Just post up any stories (or story arcs in the case of TV shows or comics) that touched you. Just no sob stories about how your girlfriend/boyfriend dumped you.
I figured I should do something with my sig, so I made this for fun. My very first (poorly made) animation. b:victory

As for why Luffy is murdering Naruto, I have no idea either, but it looks cool.b:laugh

I have a touching story. It ends with her father walking into the room unexpectedly.

Bridge to Terrabithia. read it loooooong ago and its still one of my favorites.
That and the scene where they give the funeral for Spock and Kirk says 'of all the souls I have encountered his was the most human.'

War has made me very paranoid, and when a man starts eyeballin me it makes my Agent Orange act up and I get the urge to kill.

Oh God.. I hated the Bridge to Terabithia movie. Sure the book was better though. But the movie... It was advertised as a typical fantasy film, it looked pretty good. Nice effects. Typical kids stumbling into a magical world.

    Now.. spoiler alert!

It actually turns out to be about a kid who's closest friend dies. She dies horribly. Swept away in a flooding creek. And this isn't early in the movie.. oh no. They let you get attached to the character, loving how close they are as friends... then bam. She suddenly dies. And then there's another ugly bully kid in the movie. But it turns out that she's actually a nice person, except her father is extremely abusive, so she resorts to being antisocial. Oh, and there is no such thing as Terabithia. The movie is very clear on this point.

It's a real magical fantasy barrel of laughs the whole family can enjoy.

(Un)fortunately, it was still a damn good movie. I just wish they didn't feel the need to trick people into seeing it by trying to pass it off as a magic fantasy type movie.

But very touching... yeah. It really is.

Another kinda touching book is Vernon God Little. It's about a kid whose friend goes ape and commits a school shooting before killing himself. This kid is then accused of being an accessory, and is eventually charged with murder himself. He spends some time on death-row. Makes some friends there among the murderers there. Watches them die one by one. Then it's eventually his turn for the injection... won't spoil the ending though.

At the risk of sounding like I'm flat out advertising the book.. I gotta say, it's very touching, very sad and very funny. A strange combination.

Mine was kinda rated R. But the story is no longer on the website I read it off of. The story was just well written and very emotional.
