im lvl 24 and I gotta say Im getting bored, constant grinding and repetative quests are getting annoying, any FUN in the foreseable future???b:shocked

    You mean there is a time when the game isn't fun? I have yet to find it and I'm 84.

    perhaps this game isn't for you then if your bored already. I suggest a more active FPS or WoW or even EVEOnline (although the EVE devs like to lie to their customers).

    Well, your quests will dwindle so it'll be almost entirely grinding =)

    To level, it is very much your basic grind. But there are things like territory war, dragon temple, and other similar events that can be fun. But you need to put in those grinding hours to get to a good level to take advantage.

    If you aren't the type that can just have fun with a good, talkative faction while hitting one or two keys for a few hours, then probably not. I really enjoy the socailizing and its fun for me to get that next cool weapon or save up for that new ride or w/e. Some people don't.

    I have to say that before I hit level 30 I was on and off about the game.

    However, I luv this game now and could not see myself leaving it!

    I would say try to stick around till at least level 30!

    As far as grinding goes, it is the name of the game. Once you are a higher though you can do the HH tuns and there is always the EB's!

    this game gets fun when you reach lvl 60+, you get to do many TTs and maybe TW.

    I have mentioned this to other players, my way of having fun is the following”

    1) Try to get the best gear all the time. Figuring that out will keep your mind busy. (gathering mats, auction, farming, ect)
    2) Try to read the story lines on the quests (Some are good). I actually felt a bit “touched” (LOL) by the NPC who lost her husband on the sea. I went to search for him, I found his harpoon. The npc after told me to kill the killers. Another interesting quest is one that I just did in which now I have to fight a boss when I get to level 80 (I had the option of doing it differently)
    3) Help people on quests. Sometimes there is no better reward than “thanks”
    4) Work on squads to do difficult quests. Team work is great.

    It took me until around level 10 before I was hooked. That was enough time for me to understand the basics so that the fun factor outweighed my Nubie frustrations. Now I understand how my friends can play this thing for hours and hours...

    It does get better though.

    All the quests out the west gate of Archosaur are annoying and repetative, but after that, it's world travel and shiny things!

    it's more fun if u make some friends to talk to. even grinding for me isn't as bad when we're all joking around and messing w/ each other.

    Try using your imagination and immerse yourself. And like Mbrunestud said, it becomes much more enjoyable when you make friends. Friends make a world of difference.

    I don't think this game is very fun,the longer i play...possibly switching to pvp server might up the fun factor for me...but everything is based around killing mobs and its just zzzzzzz

    If they made that stupid casino npc put me into an actual casino i'd be really happy b:thanks

    I just wish they had more grinding quests. I feel outta my element in this game. Most the quests consist of spending HOURS running back and forth to npcs. It's ridiculous.

    I've played this game for 2-3 years now (PW-MY, the malaysian version + this one) and I have quit.. well ALOT of times, but everytime I come back I wonder why the heck I ever left? I've never gotten pass 6x and everytime I do it I have so much fun. This time, I plan to keep going and catch up to all my friends who left me in the dust months ago when i quit again lol (pfft u lvl 7x-9x ppl RAWR!). Anyway I think I had a point? Oh ya this game is frikin fun! b:chuckle

    I'm not sure if you are guilded but guilds can be a make/break aspect of many games (including this one). The guildchat alone makes it worth joining many guilds if you like to chat ... just have to find the right guild.

    Other than that, you can always try a different class. I switch between my Cleric and my Venomancer is I get annoyed by certain quests. It helps.

    I get my moments here and there, but I don't just mindlessly grind XD I sometimes walk in town, talk to random people, talks to friends and do stupid stuff :D

    I think I find my most fun when in an FB or TT, instances were the one thing I always wanted, but never got any in iRO, so PW fit my obsession perfectly, way better than FFXI or WoW could.

    If the games not fun, then youre not giving it a chance, the quests are made to get you to 40+ quickly o_O

    All fun come to 90. Then, no need to leveling, becouse, you are strong at 90, going where you wanna go. All world free.

    Game sucks unless you devote hours to level and money to buy stuff.

    It gets fun at 90 .. You wont need anything unless you hit 105 but goodluck unless your in LC or HL nerding it up

    I think the game was fun from the get-go.
    I keep finding new and interesting little side mission to do, as somone said, getting the best armor...learning new skills...making weapons. I just don't see an end to all the different options in the game.

    Join the PvP servers. PvE is horrable and you wont have as much fun. In PvP you can always stay neut if you want but if you get board there is always the option to kill b:laugh

    i would suggest you have more than one character, of different classes. play around with the different ones, until you find the one that is the most fun. if you havent started enjoying yourself by level 10, figure that class isnt the one for you, and try another. i have tried them all, and found which i like, so i switch between them, when things either get frustrating, boring or just feel like a change of pace.

    Actually I find the game to be pretty fun starting in the mid teens. This guy is just a bitter person and needs a hug or something.
