A Level 13's Journey to Dreamweaver
Tormir - Heavens Tear

Hello, I'm Tormir. I'm a level 13 blademaster. I was bored this afternoon so I decided that instead of questing I would travel somewhere. I went to Dreamweaver port, which is quite a ways off from Haunted Path, which is where I started on my little adventure. Now I'm sure this has been done before, but I took all these pics and figured I might as well post them. Due to the four image limit most are links. (Note: The water in my pictures looks horrid. Sorry, but it's all my graphics card can handle. Everything else is maxed, or close to it)
First of all, a map showing the route I took. Nothing too interesting.
My first destination was Dawn's Cry Isle. Pretty easy swim, and a venomancer was killing stuff, so I didn't have to worry about mobs.

Afterwards I headed over to Angler's Village, which is full of zombie things. I didn't get too close to those.

I got buffed next to this fisherman person. (Nearby Mount Lantern) Sadly, fighting anything would be the death of me, but it was a nice thought.

Here's me once I actually got up Mount Lantern. Bit of a disappointment.
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0114-04-47.jpg
After a long swim I made it to Nameless Island. I thought this thing would eat me, but it didn't.

It says this is a little boy, but I think he's an ewok wannabe. (Fragrant Hills)

A bridge in Peach Blossom Grove.
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0114-24-27.jpg
I got lost and ended up in the Mountains of Morning Dew.
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0114-27-15.jpg
I arrived at Sanctuary! It's really a cool city, but I didn't stay long.
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0114-29-28.jpg
I ran into a person named Morning Flower. People just can't stay in cities in this game. So many exiles in the middle of nowhere.

Little did I realize that my forehead had been glowing this whole time.

Finally! Dreamweaver! This man is supposedly injured, but he doesn't look it. Hmm...
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0114-50-37.jpg
...and the center(ish) of the port! Lot's of people. (should I be editing out names???) Best of all though is...
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0114-52-09.jpg
...Santa Claus! There was a crowd, but after a short wait I got a photo. And is that ship on fire?
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0114-52-50.jpg
This guy has a very misleading name. Hmph.
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0115-00-39.jpg
Wow. The Sea of Reality is awesome.
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0115-04-37.jpg
I arrived at Ridge of The Dreaming Cloud, but things went bad.
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0115-09-37.jpg
I got to see the town though! Meet Iron Axe.
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0115-11-24.jpg
I met a new friend when I left town.
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0115-13-23.jpg
But he was a backstabbing creep.
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0115-13-35.jpg
I took a different path, and arrived at Tusk Town!
http://i430.photobucket.com/albums/qq27/Tormir/2009-01-0115-19-35.jpg
Afterwards I went to the City of Plume and teleported back to Etherblade.
I hope you enjoyed this, and even more so I hope I've inspired some low-level person losing hope in the game to go beyond the starting city or the gate's of Archosaur and explore! Because it really is entertaining.

I remember my very first time playing, some random guy carried me to Tradewind Village at level 4 and left me there.b:cold
I tried walking back, but the ranged monkeys killed me, I return to town to be whispered "b:chuckle" by some guy doing WQ.
I was under level 30 for a month because exploring was so fun.
Pure Int WR FTW!

Nice journey!! Btw did you speak with the teleport masters of the vilages, towns and cities? Because if you speak with them, you can add the places as waypoints! That way, when you need to go to a city(for example Dreamweaver Port), you can teleport! Sometimes teleporting beats traveling (but only sometimes)!0

I really liked the story you told along with the pictures.Main characters
Celestial Sage Venomancer Zoe - 100
Sage Barbarian Malego - 910 -
really nice, thanks for sharing0

So fun looking at all your pictures.
I wish I had been brave enough to go exploring. Maybe then I wouldn't get so lost all the time, lol, but I was afraid of dying! Oh well...
Great job![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

i didn't take pictures of my exploration (stupid me b:cry), but i did take a journey from plume to nameless isle to sanctuary, i settled down under the brige near peach blossom grove, if you looked under it on that journey to sanctuary you'd probably have seen me sleeping down there. i think i'll go on another one.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I had an idea about riding my mount or flying through all the routes while recording it and then speed it up and upload it to youtube or something. It would still be a huge time waster to make but it'll be interesting to watch speeded up preferably smoothly seeing all the vast landscapes and ever changing terrains.
Dreamweaver still makes me think of the flash website designing program I used at college. b:laughNon-mule alts:

because this is a serious problem and not a simple itch.
Some bug abusing noob gets rich,
While a honest players get the ditch.
Please rollback if you wanna enrich,
or this game would just be a ****

funny stuff )
thank u for sending us postcards from your holiday
that white dragon dude reminds me of some manga I read once because I was curious about the name (White Dragon :P) ... but wasn't my kind *whistle*
I usually explore everything around the cities I hang around...
example... did u know that u can't climb on the very top of the rock above the City of the Lost, but if u start from it's left, u don't even have to jump to reach the highest climbable place?
and that if walking like crazy on the river bank in wellspring village towards rogues and don't stop until u get to a deadend, that deadend is a piece of heaven? I tend to spawn there sometimes just to swim a bit inthere. the landscape is breathtaking and clean of any monsters whatsoever.
also that gets me to harvesting spots that very very few know about. (apothecary skill *whistle* )
yes. exploring is awesome0 -
Aww this is adorable!!
I remember when I started playing just over a month ago...
I dragged a friend of mine here from another game with me and while I chose the Elf class and was able to fly, he chose BM thus he had to walk around till lv 30 such as you do. You really notice more walking around on the ground than flying I think!
But I can't wait for you to get your sword and really discover how big and amazing the whole of Perfect World is!TinyPony : 6x BM : Dreamweaver0 -
This thread is full of win ^.^0

Great job. you are brave.0

grats...
Awesome topic man, I wish more players could enjoy this game like you did... I get the impression that for most players PW is just quest-lvl-grind-lvl-buy-lvl-sell-lvl-pk-grind-grind-sell-grind-lvl-etc.. and the game is so beautifull and full of details...
wicked stuff...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

The highest lvl mob ive seen except that thing in the river just west of plume. level 99 thingys which name slips me right now... They looked like Tuskmoors :O0

XD I had an adventure like that when I was only lvl 2...I was a noob, and I don't know where "home" was...I went from etherblade to burning heart, went south to dragon wilderness, then east to archosaur, south to wraith lake (or something like that) then started north again to avalanche canyon...if not for that cool guy who guided me back to etherblade, I'd still be lvl 2 lost in avalanche canyon XD...-Die? Haha! Dying is the last thing I'll ever do in my life!-
