Saving Archosaur from Congestion

In order to help get rid of the Cat City that is Archosaur, where there are SO many Sales Cats set up in one spot (West District) that it lags almost everyone badly and causes some to be DC'ed, I think perhaps we should create another city in PW.
The way this would work is that no Cat Shops could be set up in Archosaur anymore BUT there would be built a decently sized little city with no Quest Giving NPC's in it. It would have a Banker, Post Box, Acutoneer, Craftsman, Merchent, Smith, Jewel Crafter, Appothecary, Gem Merchant, Tailor and so on. All the NPC's you use in order to do things with Mats and such that show up in other cities but none of them would give any real quests like they sometimes can do elsewhere. There would be a central Teleport Master that could Teleport you to the Captial Cities or Archosaur and could be teleported to from any other Teleport Master anywhere and was a preset waypoint from the very start of the game. This would make it very easy to go look through the shops whenever you wanted to or set them up without them clogging up a major questing city and causing so many headaches.
I for one hardly want to use the Cat Shops in Arch just because of the wicked lag they inspire and how hard it is to click on the one I want or even see it with all the crowding so this new city would want to be nice and wide so that people have lots of space to spread out their shops.
Just an idea that could help the Cat Shop owners, their Customers, and everyone else.

for some reason my otherwise horrible internet speed never lags in perfect world, not even with the sea of player owned shops which exist in arch.
but i can see how it would be a major problem for other players and i think you [and anyone else to have suggested it] are right for a new player shop city.
i still think they should be able to exist outside of cities so that you can find them on your travels, but i agree with a whole new city - perhaps the arch telemaster can take you there/back for free?0 -
I already have ideas made up for how they should go about the new city even on the compromise thread for ways to even everything out with the new servers.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Your solutions sound a bit like the way the game Shaiya handles it, and I don't like it really. It's good when catshops are accessible. But you could try to press Ctrl+F9 when in a laggy area, this should resolve most of your lag issues. Oh, and I did crash a lot in Archosaur. It definitely is an issue until you use Ctrl+F9.0

I don't think the problem is from cat shops, I think it's from players on mounts/flying gear. I ran through West Arch when there were no other players, just cat shops and there was no lag (1/100000000 chase), but as soon as other players started to arrive the lag increased.
200 low poly no animation cat shops = minimal lag
20 high poly with animations mounted/flying players = high lag0 -

either way they need some sort of restriction on the players in towns. make the cat shops go in separate town or make it so players can't fly or be on mounts there. The lag is increasing everyday I have to get more RAM for my computer now since i reach requirements on nearly everything else but that and am still lagging un controlably.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Just get them to spread out around the city. Arch is a big place and there is lots of space in the South and North Districts.0

yea but that has to be done by the players own accord they won't leave on their own[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

I kind of like having people cluster in west archosaur.
