PvP servers, and in-game terms

Yes, PvP is Player vs Player. PvE is Player vs Environment (questing, computerized mobs, etc.). AOE is Area Of Effect....multiple target within a given area.

Finally, yes Lost City and Harshlands are both PvP servers which means that from level 30 on, everyone is in PvP mode. While it can make questing and leveling your character a bit....ummm...."interesting", it adds a challenge to otherwise mundane gameplay. Don't misunderstand, players aren't just going around and PKing (Player Killing) everyone they see.....well unless they're RageQuit members and even then, not all of them do that. As a general rule, you don't get PKed that much unless you or your guild is on another player or guild's KOS (Kill On Sight) list.

Zoe, do us all a favor and stop talking about stuff that you obviously have no idea about. KOS in no way ruins TW on PvP servers. Yes, KOS lists are used strategically by guilds in an attempt to affect who attacks whom, but they most definately do not ruin TW. If you were playing in a guild that wouldn't attack another guild because they were worried about KOS, then you were playing with a bunch of whiney carebears who should be hiding in thier mother's skirts instead of playing a MMORPG.

Once again, you prove your complete ignorance by making a blanket comment on a topic you clearly no nothing about.......kind of reminiscent of your comment that a competent veno should use thier pets.

i think the forums are not very representative of the server as a whole.. i've read the LC forums.. its the same people trolling or whining .. same threads over and over.. just like the veno threads in general discussion..

if you read the forums for this game and didn't play the game you get the picture of a terrible game where the GMs are non existant and hacks/bugs run rampant and when you get into the game it is different (not entirely.. cause that stuff exists.. but it doesn't control the game)

now I don't know about oracle.. but I'd have to assume that fake bids play more a roll in the TWs than KOS.. cause if you are gonna be strong enough to take the other factions land.. you are gonna be strong enough to fend off KOS.. or maybe there are just no factions strong enough in oracle.. who knows I don't play there

Actually, if my understanding of the situation is correct, there was one really big guild on Oracle that would KoS any guild that bid against them. What this does is create an environment such that even if a guild was strong enough to go after one of their territories, the drawback was that they became instant KoS after that which in turn means they might not enter the TW to begin with to avoid being put on KoS status leaving the major guild in control of the territory. In the end it leaves one guild with a lot of territory, and no one really willing to oppose them because of the potential repurcussions.

The fake bidding doesn't help because the guild that has the most finances can fund the fake bids themselves which can end up bidding anyone else out of TWs which is why it gets players banned.
