Own server - legal?

Hi,
i have questions: if i create my own PW server - its illegal?

I have very good HW and very good internet (on server room) and i have much experience with MMORPG servers (client - server - database, files - updates etc....).

Its my hobby and i wants create next server on PW manufacture - so, my questions is - its legal?

I see much PW servers, but i dont know if iss legal or not.

    If you don't pay Bejing PW Co for the licence to run the server, then yes it is illegal.

    I am pretty sure having a private server is legal depending on the copyright issue. If you intend to make a profit or ANY money off the designed game it is understandable you would give the creators* a sum.
    Like what this PWI already does. Hell this game is from China and they give a royalty obviously to the creators. It is a designed game for profit via internet. Having a private server like say in WOW is legal just as long as it does not make you a profit and if so obviously giving the creator blah blah. But I am kinda drunk and just ranting o,0

    Yup also talk about other forms of PW on these servers isn't allowed so closing this.
