Question about Aerox Chief

Hi
I have a quest that required me to go kill Aerox chief and he is really hard. Tried 2 times with full pt and died both time. So one of the person gave us an idea that have a veno's pet fight him on the air. the veno's pet is flying and the aerox chief can't fight back for some reason (think he can't attack the pet back since the pet is flying). Someone went by and attacked him and got him moving, which killed us all. That person then said it's bannable to have the pet fight the boss and the boss couldn't fight back. So is this bannable or not? thank you in advance to all who will answer.

    That's a bannable offense, it's a bug exploit.

    IDK about the banning thing, but I'm pretty sure huge bosses near your level=can't ever solo. Get some high level friends, or use a WC if you don't have any.

    thank you for quick response. We didn't know when that person in our pt told us to do it. We're just following his way..and it seems working. Anyway...we decided not to do it and have a lvl 65 came and help us out. We just got the boss thanx to that lvl 65. b:laughb:laugh

    We got a whole pt..but all lvl 41-43...I died twice b:cry. Thank you for both responses...I won't be doing that again...now I know it's bannable.

    one more question: I did not know it's bannable and that player said she took a screenshot and will turn me in. At that time I did not know it's bannable..but I still stopped and did not killed the boss by that way. A high lvl helped us killed it and I got SS also. So is there a chance that I might get ban?     I've merged those posts, just edit your last one next time.

    Anyway, should you get banned (you shouldn't, but just in case), send a ticket to customer support linking to this thread. That should solve things. The only one to blame would be the person who told you to glitch Gouf.

    I don't know why you can't beat him, because I recently did it with a squad going from lvl47 to lvl51 (5 members). If you have a good and balanced squad, you must be able to do it. We had a BM, a Veno, 2 barbs (I tanked because it was my quest, and the other went humanoide to do more damage) and a cleric. The veno took care of the surrounding tauroc, and then we just attacked Gouf.

    that's exactly why your squad finished him off (47-51-bm, veno, 2 barbs). We had 2 venos (lvl 40,41), me a bm (lvl 41), 2 archers (40, 42), 1 healer (43). As you can see...all of us are below 45 and no barb to tank. "If" we had a good balance squad...we would be able to kill him...but unfortunately we didn't. We just had to work w/ what we got...and fortunately for us...and a high lvl barb came in and helped us.

    For tips for future bosses I would say, if it's a boss, use a barb. It's fairly difficult tanking a boss when you have no real tank.

    He's a super boss, as strong (if not stronger) as a FB boss and can't/shouldn't be solo'd unless you're like a level 70+ barb or maybe BM with good stock of potions and a gaurdian charm. All/most cult bosses after him are the same.

    Will this bug be fixed? It's rather unfair to ban someone for something they aren't aware of.

    Gouf is most certainly not a super boss. Whoever told you this is just plain wrong. He is just a level 50 boss. He is one of the harder hitting bosses for his level, but he is quite tankable by a 45-50 barb.

    He's still not solo'able by anyone unless they're so many levels above him. For tanks they still need to stock up on lots of potions and have a gaurdian charm handy as it'll take them quite a while to bring him down. If you can solo him below level 70 then you're probably doing something you shouldn't or at least a very strong (and lucky) player.

    this boss hits me like 100 to 120 ... a normal dmg on lvl 75 phys mobs =) .. btw Alter Marrow rulez xD .... 16k phys def ... xD

    Is there a thread that addresses this issue from a GM? This is interfering with gameplay and is against their own TOS. If what I've read before that people are being banned for killing Gouf whether or not they do it legally is true, then it makes no sense to continue playing for those who are low level because it will make it hard for us to get more quests and learn the skills past this level.

    I'd love ot hear a GM's response to this. why can we be banned for doing something that's left in the game? I know ANY flying archer, wizzard or cleric can do the same thing, minus any "glitch" so what makes venos a target for bans?
