Silly Pet Question...

So I'm looking at the stats for all of my pets and a certain question comes to mind. What exactly is "Damage" when you're talking about their stats? I mean... it obviously has no correlation to phys atk since my Golem has much higher phys atk than my sawfly, but my sawfly has much higher damage. Can someone please explain this to me a little better?

Accuracy is incorrectly listed as Damage and Physical Attack is what it is, physical attack.0
