Black ice dragon strike

Ok so I hit lvl 60 and iI got a few mats for my hh60 already so I decided to spoil myself and buy another ultimate ( I have already bought Blade Tempest) so I chose Black ice dragon strike, because it had the most dmg 275% of weapon +5.5k. Now I was out pking and an archer was flying by so I assumed since hes wearing light armor Dragon strike would be the better choice then Blade tempest to be my starter since he has not seen me....it did 128dmg -.- I ended up dieing and lost my flying sword. So I got back up, got a new flying sword and went and dueled someone to test it out again, on another archer same output 100-200dmg. Does Dragon strike suck or am I not using it right?
(archers were between lvl60-65)

    Ok a couple of things first.

    1)Do not pk without dolls if you are red.

    2)you shoudl use blade tempest on all classes exept blademasters and barbs

    3)i think the reason why dragon strike did so low on the archer is because archers have a skill that absorbs damage. It looks like a swirly cloud around them.

    oh ok, and is there away around that skill? or do I have to just dmg through it?

    Yeah chances are they saw the cast and threw up the shield. In those cases dmg through or kite till its gone, though if you do kite chances are you will be dead before its gone. Don't worry, you will get tons more chances to use them, and will love both spells

    As Moog said, don't go red without dolls or if you do don't with stuff on/ in inventory that you'd be upset if you drop

    yeah but I say otherss skills are more important that the tempestand the dragon strike. They can hit the hardest but you know requires 2 sparks and has a high cooldown...I leveled the 2 AOE skills til lvl 3 in lvl 65 but I said firstthings first...other spammable skill must learned...So I guess sandstorm glacial snare and force of will and phoenix must be maxed. in which you don't have spirit at that lvl. My mage is lvl 81 at 50% and only now I start to lvl the blade tempest to lvl 4...but in the end the results are the same..you may get at lvl 90 all skills needed..
