If you are wanting to know where to put your attribute points in just go to the blacksmith....
Look at which item takes how many points to use.........
there you go , now you know where to stick your points.
SO now everyone can stop asking questions that don't need to be asked.
Common sense i think.
thanks

It's not that simple, though.
You also have Vit and Mag stats. By your reasoning, at level 20, you'd have a few str and dex points, have 5 vit and 5 magic, and a bunch of unallocated points.
And, to be honest, if you're doing an axe build, then you HAVE to deviate from that somewhat. Why? Because you won't hit anything without some extra dex points.
I'm not going to write a guide on how to allocate points, but you have to put some into Str and Dex, obviously, for your chosen weapon, but it would also be a good idea to put a few points into magic and vitality, so you don't turn out to be a glass sword (er, glass cannon).101 Sage Sin*/Archer
100 Demon BM*/Barb
96 Demon Cleric/Sage Seeker
95 Demon Wiz/
94 Sage Veno
85 Psy/80 Mystic
And a handful of other alts, all 79 and under.

Well first of all you did not listen to what I said :P
If your a BM all you need is STR and DEX with Vit never going over 50 pretty much ( and that is maxed out at the highest lvl ) well unless you choose too.
You will never need MP as a BM.
Look at the items at your local Blacksmith and it pretty much tells you WHAT you need to put your attribute points into depending on which weapon you will use.
I followed it that way , with at my lvl I have 131 str and 85 dex with 35 Vit , and I am more than a glass sword.
Oh and I am swords.
If you can not understand how to read the Str/Dex requirements on a weapon a s a BM you really don't need to make one and you should re-roll another class.
Nuff said
I NEVER asked what to put my points into because all I did was look at the requirements on the weapons I would be using. And I pump out lots of damage for my lvl and beat people in duels all the time.
I have played this game less than a month. I guess I am just savvy at playing MMO's though.0 -
Why would you ever need MP for a BM?0
-
If you're rich you can leave vit at 50, but otherwise keep adding more vit. You can restat later if you want to, but do that only when you can afford hp stones and charms and refining.0

BM doesnt' need MP, the 5MP are preset from the beginning.~~~~la la la~~~~~~

You're grinding LV62 Boneyard defectors. They zap you with metal and fight melee. Your HP is a bit under 3K, STR is good - you are attacking the first, doing fine (meanwhile another one surprise spawns behind you with a distance and and starts metal zapping - sound of it is identical with enemy before you and it's difficult to say is it 1 or 2 - it takes maybe 2 hits before you suspect from damage that you're getting ganged. You have no charms (don't need em right? or do you?) and while you get the idea what's going on your HP is half gone. any attempt to fire a combo to get rid one of them fast will drain the MP bar so that it might not be enough for healing.
Edit: Using Spark eruption or Roar of Pride also compromises your healing ability which in this situation is critical. And you solo because in normal conditions Defectors are no problem to blademasters. But once in a while-a fix like this happens.

What do you do?
This is a common scenario it will happen alot in swamp, Here is what I would do.
Diamond sutra, hp & mp pot then go on rampage with skills. remember that pots don't give instant hp or mp and will help keep your mp and hp full while attacking. If still attacking when pot timers reset, re-pot and continue. If all else fails jump on flying sword and fly up as quickly as possible.0 -
So what are you saying in such situation you're gulping up HP and MP pots like crazy
(BTW it probably happens at least few times when you try to raise 100K with grinding in swamp. Each death needs ca 120 mobs killed to gain somewhat same EXP lost. Basically you cannot afford to die.)
Some players in the beginning of this thread advice never put point is magic and keep HP minimal (50).
from the LV50's you will see Taurocs with metal attacks, you grind through Pyrogoliths and Foxwings, and as you close LV60 even mobs that were BM ideal enemies with purely physical attacks have now developed magic attacks in addition, which they use at least twice per combat.
Unless you're gathering money to buy hieros now as we speak, and I agree that MAG and VIT should not get a lot of points...
ARE YOU SURE that you'll outperform in these situations other BM's who have given some leeway and increased their HP and MP a bit further?0 -
Adding vit is reasonable but the reason why ppl tell you to stop adding vit at 50 is because it offer you a decent amount of vit and you should have enough money to afford hp stones at that level.
Adding mag however is unreasonable. bm only get a small amount of mag defense from mag points. You would be better off adding the points to vit since your diamond sutra can heal more. If you're worried about mag defense, use mag defend belt and necklace.0 -
as to the question of vit and mag increases. my base magic is 3 (due to reset note) and with my gear on its 10. my armor is all 4 socket average hp shards = +100 hp per piece. i understand not everyone can afford that. my way around that before i started earning money was to buy pots in stacks of 100. grind on lower lvl mobs for DQ. each DQ lvl 20-30 is minimum 800 gold, and many times more then that.
seeminly LaMe to grind for DQ. but you get exp for mob killed, and DQ sold = purchase of pots. the fact that they are lower lvl means you will require less healing. all around its a money maker especially if you overnight catstand DQ that everyone constantly needs. Bm's dont need high mp because we have pots. why waste points on magic, wouldn't you rather dispatch the enemy faster because you have higher str and dex? as for what your vit should be. i keep mine around my same Combat lvl. for example at lvl 30 i had 30 vit. which worked for me, you can alter that if you wish but i think you'll find that especially at lower lvls it does not require much hp to make your build work. hope what i've said has helped ▀_▀ b:victory0 -
I constantly have HP and MP charms, pots are expensive and ineffective compared to Charms. HP pots aren't going to keep you alive properly unless you spam them and MP pots will cost more and be inconvenient to use every 3 skills. As a BM you should have no problem accumulating money if you play smart. Save on teleports, max your Sutra, learn to AoE grind, leap into magical mobs, don't spam skills when unneccesary and remember to loot everything.0

About the whole MP issue...
(I'm a noob and haven't started playing the game /currently downloading/ so please don't be hard on me :P)
For dual-blade BMs on this game..
Do they depend more on DPS (melee attacks) for their damage
or do they depend more on their attack skills?0 -

To be honest, there is no MP issue. As a WR (BladeMaster), you never, ever put any points into Magic.
Regarding your other question, when attacking mobs (PVE), a competent BM will use minimal skills and mostly just melee the mob. When it comes to PVP, skills seperate the winner from the dead. PVP battle is almost exclusively skill-spamming. And before anyone asks, no you won't run out of Mana. PVP is over in 2 or 3 hits max....if it takes longer than that, you picked the wrong opponent or you need to level your PVP skills.0 -
I am also new too PWI but my thought when grinding alot of mobs at my same lvl as lvl 8-9 i do run out of magic because i keep spamming 2-3 spells which cost 10-12 magic p. and i only got like 200 magic. so ill add a few magic p. just too be sure i can grind abit more. is that really so wrong as a BM0

Seablue already addressed this...Seablue - Sanctuary wrote: »Adding mag however is unreasonable. bm only get a small amount of mag defense from mag points. The reason behind it being that NO ONE should be broke enough to not be able to buy a charm for HP and Pots for magic/mana.
Your charm should not even really be dented , you will suck down a few mana pots but you never have to worry about dying , ever. Diamond Sutra is that great if you know when to use it before your charm proc's.
It is simple enough unless your buying mounts , clothes , upgrades to flyers etc. if you want all that stuff I do not know what to tell you but I can tell you that I do great damage, never die ( unless I attack Kewy without knowing , yes it has happened twice in one night :P)
The worst that can happen is you spend 5g on a reset note , so just feel your build out , whatever your going to try you may just like more than what me or someone else may tell you.0
