More HAY!

I got a question, and I can't seem to find it on that PW site with all the items info and such.

Is there more than one grade of hay? I know meat has a regular MEAT, and a FINE MEAT. And the Fine Meat give much more loyalty than the other version. Now common sense would tell me, Hay must also have a better quality also. But I haven't run across it yet, or find it using an items search.

No it doesn't help, because there is other better forms of hay for food, I just need to know what it's called to be able to search for it

Ok I have learned about a Wild Ginsing that is a high grade form of Hay. Which a Phoenix will eat. Is there any other mid grade Hay? I'm guessing there must be.

Ack so if this is true, Im still back at where I started from, just with Hay and Wild Ginsing. WHy is it Herc owners have many more foods to feed it, than us Phoenix owners?

I have a herc, I'm in the middle of getting a phoenix and noticed the same thing. No way I'm going to bother with getting normal hay for 7k each. The Wild Ginsing gives a nice 200 loyalty but we may not need to replace that much at once. Where is the inbetween?!b:angry

Meat (30), Fine Meat (60), Martin Nest (120), Venison (250)

    Hay (30), Wild Ginseng (200)

Just let your pet fall to like 700 loyalty or 600 or so. Just low enough that it stays loyal, but then when it drops below, use a Wild Ginseng to feed it. You don't always have to feed it to 999 loyalty.

Ive bought some Wild Ginsing, and yes it worked wonders compared to Hay. I wanted to be able to farm my own food and not have to buy it. As Wild Ginsing drops from mobs 84+ At level 48 thats not really an option, lol. It don't seem right, but oh well.

Select "PetFood" from the type list and click search to see all the pet food in the game

There are some pointlessly rare uber food but yeah ginseng is the best realistic option. I tend to see that or venison about once or twice an hour on the mobs I grind.

Isn't fruit also a veggie? You can get it from the level 50 evolved vipions. They're non-aggro, so really easy to farm. The ones by Etherblade are the most convenient - directly above a village and merchant/bank. The ones by City of Plume are a little further from the village but still very close.

For phoenixes..if you have one, just use the christmas blessing. Much easier than buying an arcane tome every week for 200k to keep ur loyalty up. Feed it some wild ginseng, equip your blessing, and voila, you don't need to feed any of your phoenix (or any of your pets for that matter) anymore.

Naw fruit isn't a hay. It appears the only foods a phoneix can eat is Hay and Wild Ginsing. While Hercs have like 5 different choices of meats to eat. Doesn't seen right to me, but hey it's just a game right? lol

Players won't have any Christmas Blessings on the new servers when they eventually go live, so they will need to know where to get hay and meat reliably or buy Arcane Tomes if they intend to get and keep a Phoenix/Herc fed.

I'd rather we could all just eat pie, lol. Insert flavor here______.

For those looking to find items, and not knowing where, click this link. Type in the item, questname, NPC's name, mobs name here and find what your looking for. Even On the new servers.

Apple. I remember this one time, my dad decided to make an apple pie in a dutch oven with a sourdough crust. He spent HOURS peeling and coring apples, and swore he'd never do that again. The bottom crust ended up being half an inch thick, but the rest was absolutely delicious. mmmmmm....pieb:pleased

I have no troubles keeping it fed. Xmas blessing would be nice, but Im not one of those venos who you hear being accused of rolling in the cash, so can't afford one. Been using the Arcane book from the cash shop, does the same thing. I need the hay/wild ginsing=food for bringing up loyalty for after when the pet unfortunately dies.
