Builds/Shard/Armor usage for Soloing BM's

I'm a level 62 Blademaster currently and at this point in gameplay im having a difficult time grinding/questing etc...I do usually solo my quests and solo grind and I'm wondering how exactly I should build my "Arsenal" to take the least amount of damage to capitalize on money gain and lower the amount of hp/mp pots I buy..At this point in time I'm using full Phys Resistant shards on all my armors and then HP shards on all my ornaments...I really would like input on how i should change my shard usage so that i can tank mostly physical and magical hits, as well as using very small amounts of potions....

Well I would use hp and mag~shards from lvl 60~65/70 cause the most monsters between that lvl are useing phy and mag attacks~~0

Thank you, I will start using the HP/Magic shards from now on..Last problem is that a mainly soloing bm like myself who does not have a team for questing and grinding...Is that pointing to Dual Axes...or Blades?0

Well here is my opinion, one that most people do not like, go fist. The other option is go axe, swords and spears are middle ground that are fairly pointless imo. Now the pros of axes are that they have great spike damage, and are easily the best PvP weapon for BMs, and have the most and best AoEs. The downside to axes is that most axe builds are fairly low in dex so bad accuracy (at least until 77 when you can get yourself a misty forest ring or two that give +50% accuracy each), and their damage can be extremely erratic as they have the largest range of damage. The pros of fists are, they hit fast, one of the fist moves can enhance attack speed, and another can cancel magic attacks (becomes AoE if you go demon), and also they have the most consistent damage. The cons of fists are they have the smallest range of damage, and that damage is low compared to axes (TT 70 fists are about 500-700 damage maybe, and the TT 70 axes are 600-1500 or something like that), they are terrible for PvP period. The fists however imo trump any other BM weapon in single target damage, especially if you can get a cleric to red bubble you (with red bubble and the fist BM skill you can easily break 2 attacks per second)
In the end its up to you, but if at 60 you want to switch weapons, you have wasted a large amount of spirit.
As for shards, HP and mag def work for me, but then again I'm a fist BM that can cancel magic attacks and kill before they try to cast again.0 -

sorry i didnt even read any others posts but basically if ur looking to take as much dmg as u can go with hp stones. ur p def is alread insanely high u dont need that. u can boost ur m def with elemental resist belts and necklaces. but definately go with hp stones over p def ones. the p def is a waste becuz it is already so high. about the m def stones im not so sure. im still debating that myself. if u want to absorb more m damage go with that but if u plan on facing mostly p attacks then for sure go with the hp stones0 -
Thanks for all your inputs, as for the advice about a fist BM..im not looking for fast attacks with low-mid damage im looking for powerhouse attks that can take out as many enemies as possible so i take as little damage from them as possible...which ive decided on Axes...as for wasting spirit and coin..actually ive always had my spirit of 200k because i just havnt had money to buy skills..my previous paths skills were only at lvl 2 or 3 which ive already matchd my new axe skills with. and as for the shards...based on your inputs ig uess its gonna have to be some Trial and Error for HP vs Mag def according to my gameplay style..Thanks once again for the help0

personally, I like Hp shards in my chest, legs and boots, then do Mdef in the other pieces. And I rely heavily on diamond sutra to keep me healed and off the pots.b:laugh0

Well since you've leveled already to 64 then i think you have overcome your biggest problems. but nevertheless i was in the same pain and got over it.
1) I'm slightly surprised that you still are in between weapon choice. Well never mind that all of them have pro's and cons but you simply don't have enough spirit to keep experimenting. Pick one weapon choice whichever you've upgraded the most. Sword path, Axe path or whatever it is. And stick on it till it's LV10. Sprit points and money needed for upgrades are insane. So don't use them lightly.
2) You're over 60 and means yo can do TT runs. What helped me was forging a TT weapon. i was using the good set of blades before: 3-star LV7 dual swords. The just didn't do enough damage fast enough what is needed to grind LV60+ mobs. TT sword (i'm sword path) does it. Set the goal to get the mats and forge the weapon and... do it. Those fancy green glow swords (or other weapons) are not only for show off- BM's are screwed without them.
3) I discovered also too late the power of stun. LV7 stun (it's hurts to think how much it costed) freezes mob for 5 seconds and you can give him 3-4 hits before it even starts to fight back. usually it's 1/4 of it's life, 1/3 if you're lucky. if that doesn't make a difference in long run then I don't know what does.
4) You take much damage because occasionally you get into the fix. surprise spawn behind you. taking magic attacks from front and behind. There's very effective medicine against it maybe you remember- on LV2 apotekary list there's blue pot that reduces any damage (even 1000) taken into mere 30-40 dmg. i have forgotten the name but they are life saviors. farm the mats and make them. Use in emergencies. You'll love it.
Edit: I don't have enough personal exp to determine wether it's best to use magic shards or HP ones. some of my stuff has Hp and some of mys stuf has mag def. shards.0 -
well at the moment i am sticking with dual axes..and yes i do have the TT skeleton axes and atm spirit is no problem..had 400k sp when i switchd to axes all my skills are caught up and yes i am using my apothecary skill for powders and heals and stuff...the shards..im using hp but yah im thinking ill need some magic somewhere in the mix...thank you for all your help with my problems..=)0

Use HP Shards and Magic Defense Ornaments. Using magic defense shards at your level is kind of a waste.0

At these point, it doesnt surprise me any more how we Sword BM are understimated, but really, i dont get why people say axes are better PvP. Axes are great for stunning and aoe "wich mean better for party" But sword BM its a great balance between enough Power and acurancy, we deal more damage than fist and miss less than axes. So far i can beat axes bm close to my lvl, same goes for spears, maybe cause i know how to use my 4 main skills, thoug i admit Fist bm give the creep in duelb:shocked, they dont hit too hard, but with that crazy evasion u can barely land a hit on them b:laugh.
Anyway, We bm are probably the most dificult and by consequence, entertaining race to build cause of the many paths one can take. But plz, dont ever understimate any of the builds, each one has its pros n cons, and we Sword bm were build deal high amounts of damage w/o missing too much, (also myryad sword stance its the Ultimate skill that deal the higher damage on first hitb:pleased).
PD: i would had loved to try axes, those aoe looks kick as for PvE.
Bless b:victory0 -

you kind of answered that question yourself
you can come close to stun-locking someone so other DD's can run in and kill0
