ppl speak of imbalances about pvp, where supposedly the phoenix bleeds someone dry while the veno is hovering in the air very far away. so unless u have experience in that department, do note that the overpowered veno discussions don't apply to u, and any flesh ream fixes or the current bramble hood not returning 200% in pvp won't really affect u either.

Parasitic Nova is good if you pet is about the die nad oyu can't heal him fast enough and he goes down. The chance of Chaotic and Summer Sprint to get otuta there is good.

If you need a little 'fine tuning' as you put it. Check the Veno forum, I have found that the comprehensive guide to venos is pretty decent. Just don't take TOO much stock into what they say about HOW to play it.

My macro for grinding goes, "Lucky, Venom, Blazing, Heal Pet, Ironwood, Venom, Heal Pet, Lucky" By then the mob is dead. I always send my pet in first and let him her his Flesh Ream (or Roar for multiple mobs) before I start attacking.

AoE Grinding I have the skills hot key'd for. I haven't worked out a macro, because I don't trust one over my own intuitiveness and want to change up the way I cast/heal in different situations.

Actually, I'm male... Sorry to mislead anyone. I have no qualms playing a female character, and I like pet classes. But what I want to know is, how can you get your pet on multiple enemies without having to go through a massive hassle? Every time I try to get my golem to move to another mob, he just keeps attacking the one he's on and finally, after I smash the attack button a few times, moves over. Is it a golem reaction thing? Should I take off Auto first? I don't really get how to make the stupid pet listen. It's the reason I developed that tactic in the first place. And Lucky is nice, but for sheer power, I love Frost. Nox + Blazing + Frost, if all the DoT's hit is very, very nice. My build is a bit magic gimpy. I'm 48 points behind guide. I improvise with the gear buffs, but I'll never get 48 points worth. So, the higher powered the skill the more I use it.... I burn through MP so fast.... I've kept my self heals as high as I can afford just so I have MP... I've hit a nice balance right now. HP and MP heals at 35%. It's comfortable enough that since I've got Venomous and Ironwood maxed I can work on Fox Skills. I use that MP for HP spell a lot. Follow it up with a quick Leech, and it's like your HP didn't move while your MP went back up. For laughs, I actually went without a pet through the elven FB19. I only popped out of Fox Form every 5 minutes to refresh my HP and MP and renew my brambles. Nothing says fun like tanking a giant scorpion in Fox Form and never having to use a potion. b:laugh

Wow, I figured you was a guy, most Venos are. But your char is a girl soo you go girl XD

The Target Swithcing thing, I've hever had toruble with,but I use my Alt Pet Skill hot keys. I also use my pet on Defend for that. It might be that your pet is skilling when you tell it to move. It WILL finish its skill before moving to a different mob.

I have 90% of my skills maxed now, but if you want to know anything else, feel free to WHisper me in game or mail me on the forums heres. =D I check them every day at least once.

If I don't know the answer I will know a Veno that does. I always bug my veno friends for help, its how I am so accomplished. Hehehe. I think I play a pretty good one.

Not everyone thinks venos are as broken as a few whiners say but your (and I mean your as in venos like OP) pathetic counterarguments are starting to make us change our minds. There are some decent counterarguments but "not all of us have nixes" and "QQ more and go die" don't make you seem any more righteous than the people you're arguing against.

Veno skills suck; I can't deny that, and neither would most other people, but your nose in the air attitude isn't going to get you sympathizers.

1 Venos always get asked ( i even get spammed by random ppl on my fl) to come fb/TT cuz they need lurer and specially TT since venos is the best dd class in there.

Venos is all all around a very good class with 0 weakness. Specially the fact that we make money grinding. Not many classes get rich by killing mobs, play a cleric and 80% of the income from grinding will be spent on mp pots. Play a barb and 80% will be spent on repairs and hp pots. Veno is 100% profit i make at least 200k per hour grinding. I got my hercules only from saving up my grindmoney + some lucky fb drops. Allready at lvl 60 i could solo first boss in TT partymode with my herc. Most classes cant even get into a damn TT party at lvl 60 they have to buy all the green mats.

Im not saying veno should be nerfed in anyway (beside fixing the flesh ream bugg), its a perfect class as it is and a cheap option for those that dont wanna spend irl money on the game and still do very well. Its really really great there is a class like veno that dont come with cashs shop requirement b:victory.

But i also understand why people that invested time and money on other classes get upset and complain and make 1000 treads - since venos have so many advantages.

And i think it should be clarified to new players also that making a veno is the cheapest and easiest option if u wanna do well in pvp and pve so they dont go roll a wiz by mistake b:chuckle.

Im qouting this cos u guys seem to have missed it. This is a veno here saying how easy it is to play her class making money and has made enough money before she hit 6x to buy a herc with in-game gold. This class is the best for money making and the most wanted in fbs, hh general squad grinding.

Ur only weakness is less likely to be wanted in zhens BUT u can get in rather easily if its ur guildies. Think about it how many zhen spots there is, Sanctuary(6x) dreamweaver(6x) nightscream(7x) camp of intrepid(late7x/8x) and ants near avalanche(8x). Count that up thats 30 people that could be zhenning at any one time 12 in each level range. And u complain that ur not generally one of these 12 people at ur level? You make it sound like everyone and their mother is zhenning.

Fact is no1 hates ur class we are all just very jealous that u are masters of pve and pvp. At least before we could say u were master of pve and average at pvp but now we cant. So wat is left for the other classes in the game besides whining that the class that makes the most money, can grind the fastest, has lowest repair bill and lowest pot usage is no longer a fair fight but rather wipes the floor with us in pvp? That is hardly balance...

Where was the logic? Did your own words hurt? You admitted to just being a whiner.

These arguments continually break down into glorified class discussions and as such should probably not even be in the general forums. What lies at the centre of the debate for me is that venos who have nixs are considered overpowered in PvP.

My question to those who use nixs and those who are on the recieving end is:
Is the assertion that fleash ream is bugged correct?

If it is then the GMs should be aware of it as I am sure that they alerady are and the information conveyed to the developers so the appropriate fix is made. If it is not bugged then the next line of questioning would be:

Is the flesh ream skill of nix's too powerful? If the answer is yes then the fix is to have its PvP power reduced. However if the skill is not overpowered then the result is simply to leave it alone.

The best judges of these cases would be those persons who PvP/TW alot. They would have the most experience with regards to the perceived problem. So far it seems fairly split and that is based on those persons who grace the forums. Some people say it is unfair while others claim they can handle it. Certainly if it is to the point where PvP becomes imbalanced by it even if just by preference e.g. everyone starts using them over all else (including other classes) then a fix/nerf/rebalance is due.

As for the whole venomancers are OP issue, I think many of us, myself included have responded either in whole or in part based on emotion. I for instance as a pure int wizard find it a bit amusing when I have to spend about a minute or 2 resting to rejuv my MP (I don't use pots unless I made them at the apoth) while a veno is next to me going non-stop. However to be honest a little hard work can go a long way:

1) Know your strength and play to it. Ok so their is an element of luck involved but so what. I used some money from DQ items to buy a 3* weapon. I got lucky and crafted a 3*1 socket with better natural stats (obviously sold the other one). Got lucky again getting it to +2 and with a single matk shard have a Sages Pestle that puts some lvl 41 weapons in AH to shame. My point? My strength is my matk so with well crafted rings and a weapon I can kill most mobs before they reach me (I spark every chance I get) and can usually kill about 10-15 mobs before my MP runs dry/low. With just lvl 1 Morning dew, I have no need for HP pots in PvE. As long as I take mobs 1 at a time life is easy.

2) APoth is your friend. In the field I farm whatever mats I see. I mean c'mon a focus powder is 10 minutes of farming/questing without having to rest to recover mp (and salvia roots and crane herbs are plentiful). Combined with the mp recov bonus of glacial embrace I have no need to spend money on pots. Heck I still haven't used my mp charm I got earlier in the game yet.

I make those two points to show that I as a wizard (albeit on a PvE server) have no issues making money. In fact Just by grabing mats and auctioning 2* weapons I make combined with not having to buy pots my income is enough to keep me going. I have not even sold all of my DQ mats yet and I'm sure I can double my current coin if I do that.
In other words I am sure as far as PvE goes their are ways to progress without looking at what the other guy is doing. So what if venos can farm non-stop? Buy charms, use the apoc, guess what now you can farm non-stop too. In fact as a wizard so long as I have my powders on me I can actually farm faster than other venos my level (well admitedly having nice rings and weapons helps too but everyone can do it if I can).

I mean sure, I may say but MP charms are expensive and venos don't have to buy them but consider one of the pets you consider OP aka the herc. Now compare spending $200 real life dollars to buy a herc to buying charms and decent gears the free way (well not using real life cash). I see no reason to complain. Also to be quite honest I don't see any venos in my guild or even that I know from other guilds levelling faster than me so what is there to bother about. $200 for a virtual item in a game where I could get banned or could end tomorow due to financial/technical difficulties? I think those players deserve a bit extra. If you want complete balance (a separate argument altogether) go play a P2P/subscription game. I know one that is really good PvP wise.

To me its all much ado about nothing. If fleash ream for nixs is bugged or OP fix it and lets move on. IF it is not just move on. Either way these threads are not providing solutions to the perceived situation.
