its asking me to collect dq31 stuff?

any1 know why??

    I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you need to check which DQ you are actually on. Chiu Nui is DQ20, Yatzu is DQ31. There is also an introductory DQ20 which I believe is unnamed, just "Dragon Quest".

    This is happening to me too. I opened my quest in level 21 and first was asked for dull claws, then honey juice and now element fragments. They are marked as being for dq 31 so I suppose that it's just as Daerys says.

    I think the DQ materials get interchanged a bit. The opposite of your situation is also true: DQ31 sometimes requires DQ21 items.

    Yes before you do DQ21 you have to do a quest call Dragon Quest in which you have to obtain level 31 DQ items
