Annoying sawfly behaviour

So i'm a new veno and i just got to a high enough level to get a golem. Currently, I've been leveling a petite sawfly because i heard its the best non-cashshop and non-rare pvp pet. However, many times when i send it to attack something, it flies into the ground. I've found that if I jump and wait for it to rise into the air, and then hit attack, it will descend from its position in the sky and reach its target. but many times it gets stuck in the ground infront of the target, and if i accidently pull aggro, it can't move to pursue the mob.

Is this behaviour normal?

Also, as a side issue, is there any reason that volcanic magmites are all over the place in shops, but crystaline magmites aren't? I intend on catching one on my own, but why is it that there are shops dedicated to sawflies and volcanic magmites, but not crystaline?

    Regarding the sawfly behavior, yes this is normal. It's annoying, but you already figured out how to circumvent the problem so no big deal. I personally can't stand aerial combat so I level mine on the ground too.

    Regarding the Magmite, it's been shown that even at level 90 the Crystalline only beats the Volcanic by 6 hp and similar negligible numbers in other stats. Since the Volcanic comes with Tough and ends up .1 m/s faster, it is now generally regarded as the better choice.

    I guess I'm going to go with the volcanic magmite now, but crystaline is such a cooler name :(

    At least i know my games not bugged now, thank you.

    as to the name, u can use a pet collar (10k i think, DO correct me if i'm wrong) and name ur volc "crystaline" :laugh

    yeah its 10k i just renamed my crystaline and got rid of its sandblow and got thunderstrike and flesh ream along with bash it already had just about emptied my pockets lol
