All classes gain the ability to fly at lvl30. But just to warn you, the starting swords are really slow at flying. I believe any class can use a bow as long as they fit the requirement on the weapon.

In this game class & race are dependant on each other. So you can't really be any race & any class combination like you can in other MMORPGs. So really, you wanna chose what class you'd like to be, the race comes pre-determined after that. Cleric & Archer = Elf, Blademaster & Wizard = Human, Barbarian<tank> & Venomancer<pet class> = Untamed. As for flying, yes Elves can fly at level 1 but it drains MP, then at 30 they get a new set of wings that don't drain MP, along with Untamed getting a flying manta type mount, and humans getting a sword type mount, so once you hit 30, its an even playing feild. So i'd just let the class you desire to play determine your race rather then choosing a race and finding you may not like either class available.

PW did a pretty damn good job balancing things out class wise. There is no best class, but certain classes excel at certain things.

    ARCHER

Archer are good for high damage because of their high dexterity and can take more damage than magic classes, but are plagued with low HP and no high defenses in anything. Their defense is balanced out between magic resistances and physical resistance (Assuming that they went light armor, like an archer should). Their damage is unstable as well, since they rely on crits to deal out most of their damage. They are good for solo grinding with knock-back attacks, and are excellent for PKing with their ranged crits and stuns.

    CLERICS

Easily one of the more popular classes in the game. Clerics are unique among casting classes because one of the very first spells that they get at the beginning of the game is a physical damage spells; this makes them very effective at taking out other casters in PvP. They are decent solo-grinders as they have attacks that slow the movement of their target and plenty of heals to keep themselves alive. They also have a spell that reduces the physical damage they take by 60%? (I think), which makes them effective against melee classes. The only real problem with clerics is that they are the slowest moving class in the game, and doesn't have incredibly powerful magic attacks; that said, an experienced cleric can take on most any class in the game.

    BLADEMASTERS

Another fairly popular class, especially for PKers. While they do not have the physical defense of barbarians, they have an extraodinarly high physical attack, which makes them excellent for taking out any caster class. They are also very versatile, with the ability to weild a large variety of weaponry; axes, hammers, swords, pole-arms, claws, etc. Their attacks are also more accurate than barbarians, which is especially useful in PvP situations. What a blademaster is known most for is their stuns; when fully leveled, they can last for 5 seconds at a time, and are also area of effect (AoE). Their big weakness is that they cannot take a lot of magical damage, which is why they are known for hit and run tactics; run in, stun, AoE, then run out, all the while using the speed buff which makes them the fastest moving class in the game.

    WIZARDS

Easily one of the less popular classes in the game, because of the difficulty in raising them. Early game, wizards have low attack power, low physical defense, and not enough status effect spells to make them especially useful for anything. It's not until mid to end game that Wizards start to show their teeth; while slow casting, some wizard AoE's have the capability of one-hitting their targets (Especially robe users), and having a large variety of AoE spells to choose from, each with their own effects. They are easily the strongest damage dealers in the game, which comes with a really weak physical resistance. Wizards cannot stand up to physical pressure for a long period of time, which is why they have a spell that is used to warp them away from danger. With a large variety of AoE's and pure stopping power, wizards are an excellent class for support damage in large scale PvP.

(Note: I am a wizard myself, so this is the class I'm most well versed in. :P )

    VENOMANCER

Most popular class in the game. They are the best solo-grinders, because they have pets that take all the damage for them and rarely walk out with a scratch. This makes it so that they are superb money farmers because they don't have to worry about repair bills, and they rely on grinding to level up their pets. They also have a decently sized selection of pets to choose from, each with their own special abilities. PvE wise, this class is nearly unstoppable since they are capable of taking the spot of any class in a party; damage dealer (Spell casting), tank (Their pet), cleric(Their pet heals). It's in PvP that this class starts to show weakness; if the player knows what they're doing, they'll ignore the pet and go straight for the caster. While Venomancers do have decent defense buff spells at their disposal, they have one of the lowest vitality modifiers in the game, second only to wizards. This makes it so they are extremely vulnerable to physical damage, which is why many veno's forsake the robes for light armor.

    BARBARIAN

The dreaded tank class of the game. Dreaded, as in that they are nearly impossible to take down if they have a charm. They have an extremely high amount of HP and physical defense, which makes it difficult for any class in the game to take it down alone. They are also very fast in their tiger form, which raises their HP and physical defense at the expense of 60% of their attack power. In many ways this sounds like the best class in the game; however, they are many drawbacks that keep it from taking the title:

    1. INSANE repair bills. Since they are the tank class, they are the ones that end up taking all the hits from bosses, mobs, players, etc.
    2. Low accuracy. Unlike blademasters, barbarian attacks are notorious for missing.
    3. Low physical damage. Since they spend most of their time in tiger form anyways, they almost never get the chance to take the role of a damage dealer. This forces them to invest more attribute points to vitality.

    SUMMARY

For anyone too lazy to read all that or can't figure it on their own, I'll break it down PvP wise.

Archers: Effective against most classes, especially robe users; has a hard time against melee.

Clerics: Effective against most classes, especially robe users; mildly effective against melee. Used mostly for heals (Obviously).

Blademasters: Effective against robe users with high physical damage, accuracy, and moving speed; low magical resistance.

Wizards: Effective against melee classes with extremely high magical damage, highest damage dealers in the game; very low physical defense.

Venomancers: Decently effective against any class in the game, best solo class; low physical defense.

Barbarians: Decently effective against any class in the game, highest survivability; large repair bills, low physical damage, low accuracy.

Yes, Elves can use swords ..... but not well Archers obviously do best with Bows, Crossbows(archer only), and Slings(Archer only). Clerics do best with Magic Weapons one set of which is swordlike but still much better M Attack than Physical.

No, not all weapons are available to all classes (see above) and a look at the skill set of a particular class will show you what weapons that class is most suited for.

What flys the fastest? Not sure how to answer that, first it has nothing to do with race, second only the cash shop devices can be upgraded (something that can get expensive very fast).
Perhaps the greatest secret to getting along with others lies in learning to respect their opinion(s) even while you disagree with them.

For fastest flying i think the award goes to Venomancers. The only reason being that i believe they have the only speed boost that can be applied while flying (summer sprint) and boost their flying speed. I'm not positive about archers they might also, but i know Barbarian (tiger form speed) and Blademaster (cloud sprint) dont add apply to flight. Winged Elves do have flight mastery which increases their speed but ONLY with the base white wings which are very slow to begin with. Everyone tries to get upgraded flight mounts and once people get those, its an even playing feild for flight speed other then who spent the most money to get more upgrades to flying. The fastest any flying mount can get is +3.0 to ground speed (typically 5.0 ground speed with no speed gear equipped).

As for different races using different weapons and the like, i believe you're addressing the question improperly. See as i mentioned before in a previous post, races are locked to specific classes. You canNOT have an Untamed Wizard, or Human Cleric, or Elven Barbarian for instance. So while i believe Bows (not x-bows or slings) can be used by any race/class, only archers (elven archers) make decent use out of them. Likewise for swords, i think technically they can be used by any race/class, but only blademasters (human blademasters) will make decent use out of them. For the most part, Elven archers stick to bow/x-bow/sling, Elven clerics stick to magical weapons, Untamed Barbarians to axes/pole (i think, not 100% sure on this), Untamed Venomancers to magical weapons, Human Blademasters to axes/swords/pole/fist, and Human Wizards to magical weapons. (Yes all the magic using jobs share the same weapons, luckily there isnt the everyone bidding on same items problem there is in WoW, cause most weapons late game boil down to getting materials, which are shared between the different weapons, except for molds, which there would be higher demand for magical weapon molds)

i'm an archer and they're pretty awesome

    my average damage-

    Regular: 1.5k
    Crit: 4k
    Skills: 2.5k

    (I use 1-16 arrows)

Also i noticed someone said archer had hard time with melee classes in pvp...

well for me melee classes aren't hard at all, since they need to be close to attack, i use aim low and all my lightning skills (magic attack) since they have low magic def

    My PvP strategies-

    Against ranged class-
Winged Shell -> Spark Eruption -> Thunder Bolt -> Lightning Strike -> Regular Shots
    That should kill them

    Against melee class-
Aim Low -> [Thunder Bolt -> Lightning Strike -> Winged Pledge -> Wingspan] -> Repeat [ - ] until dead
They will miss a lot on you but if you need the extra help, throw in Winged Shell in between

    Those work every time b:laugh

Uh, I have to disagree with you there. Wizards and clerics have huge magical defense, so even with your lightning debuff you're better off using physical damage shots against them. As for archers, that might work but their high evasion leaves you with a big chance for missing.

Just a note, classes can technically use almost any weapon, but the skills that each class uses requires a certain weapon.

IE a wizard cannot use hammers and still cast magic.

Actually veno's get the most vit out of the caster classes: 12 per add. They still are pretty fragile, but bramble and intersoul can help offset that.

    Loved the post btw!

I think all chars have thier drawbacks and thier perks. I think mainly it depends on what you like to do. I love healing, I prefer healing over say DD. I have 1 of every class 50+ but I enjoy healing the most.
I have friends who can not stand it they prefer to be like DD or tanks and such.
In the end we all fly and who is fastest is going to depend on what areo you get. So go with what you enjoy doing and go from there.
