lvling question!

I browsed these forums for a while and I read some of the topics where people ask whether or not they can change servers, etc. Most of those ppl are around lvl 20 or something, and the replies keep saying that they can 'start all over' and that lvl 20 'isn't that big of a deal'.
It took me several months to get to lvl 20 (yes i know..lol). But most of you think 20 isn't much, so how you do you level?
how much time do you spend in this game?

also...
what are mats and farming?

    i really think that you should do all the quests. You can find lots of quests by opening the quest window *press Q* and then at the top left corner there is a "Find Quest" button. Click on that and you will get a pop up with a NPC's location number and name on it. From lvl 1-30 the quests will carry you through to the next lvl. so.... you wont really need to do much grinding until your in ur 30's. Hope this helps. Happy... questins!

    mats are materials and farming i believe is where you find stuff like iron and sell it .. i think but don't quote me

    Mats = materials. You can get them from um.... sort of like the random sort of rocks or tree stumps and you can also get them from monsters. They are used for crafting weapons, armor, or the um... potions. And farming is simply collecting the items... i think

    Yes, farming is just collecting the mats.

    If it took you that long to get to lvl 20 this is obviously your first mmo. It took me a while to get to lvl 20 when I first started too, but now I can do it in 3 days, but in most ppl's book, that is incredibly slow.b:cry

    It took me a week to get to level 20, and I spent a lot of that time running around in circles and asking questions about this and that. Not to mention two days just flying around collecting waypoints. But I've seen some people get to level 20 within a day.

    Basically, do quests. Don't bother with grinding mobs that a quest doesn't ask you to kill, and don't kill much more than what you have to kill to fulfill the quest. In fact, you can keep that strategy up until the mid 30'ies or more (supplemented with the Crazy Stone Quest that becomes available daily at level 30) before you actually HAVE to grind.

    Heck, if you help out with FBs regularily, you won't have to grind until the mid 40'ies or more...

    Killing monsters is not the only way to level up, you have to do quests (missions), they give lots of expirience. You basically level only with quests.

    To get to lvl 20 it took me 3 days. To get to 44 (my current level) it took me 1 month, other people can get to 44 in less than 3 weeks (depends how much you play).

    Is it possible to play the cleric without the in-game money?

    You mean without paying for gold?

    If I'm poor on in-game $$$ will it be harder to level (cutting out on the meditation time)??

    Takes like 6 hours to lvl from 1 to 20 on venomancer either 1 long day or 2 days.

    Depends on class, clerics have to fly around too much for lvl 1 to 20 quests. They usualy take longer whereas venos kills quickly and the quests are easier and quicker.

    Takes about 3-4 days for me to lvl a BM from 1 to 20. Took me 3 days for cleric.

    took me a day to get 30 as a cleric, lol.

    venomancers just **** with solo ability. all of the basic(1-20) quest are equal in difficulty, but they never have to use a potion and never have to get hit. in the first week of ob there was a level 65 veno(6x wizard too, can't remember if that was first week or 2nd).
