at low lvls stick with the quest weapons

then at lvl20 you'll get to use your fb19 weapon, that'll carry you to 30+ depending on if you can find a better weapon

then it's better if you just stick with one type of weapon.

most ppl go with dual axe due to most of the TT weapons are dual axe.

however, if you use the build mentioned in Dai's guide, you'll be able to use all the weapons

i'm still a low lvl barb, but i read a lot of posts. hope this can help you

There are 2: axe and hammer
Then there are dual and pole

axes: ppl use axes because they have a high maximum damage. that means that skills will do more. for example a skill does "base weapon damage plus 738.2". if you are using an axe, it'll be higher because it will be 738.2 +the maximum. however, your hits will be super random since they have high maximum damage and low minumum.

hammers: ppl use this if they want to hit higher more often. they have low maximum damage but high minimum. that means you'll do more on an overall basis (don't expect to hit TOO high though...)

pole axe/ pole hammer: lower damage both max and min. however they hit exceptionally faster than dual axes/ dual hammers. ppl use this if they want to hit criticals more like when they are demon. the more crit hit rate and the more they attack, the more crits, am i right?

dual axe/ dual hammer: slower than pole hammer/pole axes, but exceptionally higher damage, both minimum and maximum. useful for when ur using skills that deal "base weapon damage plus an additional X damage."

Yeah, you're right! But there is an other reason for using pole axe/hammer. The slightly higher attack rate also lets you build up chi faster. This is effective for "low budget grinding". It lets you use a bestial rage + spark eruption combo (if it can be called that way), which increases your damage while spending hardly any mp.

As long as it's hammer or axe, I would say: Yeah, anything is acceptable. Especially in the beginning lvls were you get the best weapons as quest rewards.
Later on, look at what goes well with your playing style. If you notice after lvl29 that you use spark eruption all the time, try a pole weapon. If you prefer grinding in humanoide, go rather for the dual axes/hammers to do more damage.

Personally, I reckon use each as it becomes available to you until 60.

From 60-89, use TT axes. Then decide what you wanna use at 90. Most people go for dual axes at 90 still.. but it's definitely not a compulsory thing.
    Everyone here is ridiculously oversensitive.
