which is the best build?????

I'm new to being a wizard and I have read the guide for wizards but I would like to know from ppl who are wizards and have good builds. What would be the best build for me to use for my character.

    Just kidding on that one, but you have posted a question that seems to inflame more egos than any other concerning Wizards. I would say that your build should reflect your playstyle and that the best thing for you to do is try both and see which fits you better.

    I personally am going with Light Armor, but the sides are VERY divided on this issue and while I don't quite feel as passionate about my choice as some, I like it.

    You may or may not get quite a good argument going on this post though. Just depends on if they feel like rehashing their posts. :)

    Ya people get really angry on this issue... but basically

    Pure int people say that they do what a wizard is supposed to do, hit really hard and have no survivability.

    LA people basically say that LA still has great damage, and being able to take more than one shot is invaluable. No point in having alot of damage when you're dead.


    I personally went LA because I hate being squishy... I am still like tissue paper against scissors, but I can only assume its better than arcane. I seem to be able to take more than pure int though... so I'd say it's worth it.

    Arcane - have the highest dmg...
    LA- have the decent magic/physical dmg/protection...
    HA - Seldom mage will goes for this... Highest phy protection..

    Yeah I have to agree with everyone else. There really is no best build. I was full int until I hit lvl 61 then went crazy and reset to a LA build. I'm definitely enjoying the benefits of living longer against melee mobs but I seem to die more often against magic mobs unless I'm buffed by a high lvl cleric. I also can last longer in a duel against barbs and BMs, which gives me time to 1 or 2 hit them.

    Admittedly I do miss being able to hit at 5-6K per hit all the time. Now I hit at around 3500-5000 but my crit hits happen much more often and vary in how hard they hit. I had a crit hit of 17,956 the other day against the fb29 boss. b:victory

    I'm seriously considering going back to my full int build since I'm on a PVE server and thinking about starting a LA attack mage on Harshlands to see how far I can go.
