Where do you get certain types of stones(maybe shards) I think they are called??? Like Grade 5 or 8???? Just the stones from the merchant, other players, drops, or somewhere I do not know. :)

    You can buy the basic shards at merchants, and visit a jewel craftsman to upgrade the shards.

    3 lvl1 = lvl2
    3 lvl2 = lvl3
    3 lvl3 = lvl4
    4 lvl4 = lvl5
    4 lvl5 = lvl6

    The pattern continues...

    you get 6 xp and 2 spirit per refining.

    Level 5 and higher gems make gear glow.

    Really glow!!! What colors can they glow and what type of stones are needed to make this happen???

    You will need a lvl 5 gem or higher to make armor glow. Depending on wat gem you use it will glow anywere from blue,white,red,greeen, and so on. To make your wepon sparkle(NOT GLOW) you can put 2 flawless gems in it and it will sparkle blue,white,red,greeen, and so on.

    Flawless gems are level 7 shards and cost around 910,000 to make. You should not need to worry about flawless until 70s or higher.

    Also how mcuh would one level 5 or 8 gem cost???

    Lvl 5 I believe cost 60k each at the craftsmans buying them straight out.

    Let's assume that we start from shabby shards - rather than using higher grade shards dropped from monsters, bosses and newbies who wants to carry around DQ items instead:

    1 shabby = 530 coin.

    The numbers in parenteses are the amount needed to make the next level of gem.
    Shabby (3) -> rough (3) -> blemished (3) -> common (4) -> average (4) -> beautiful (4) -> flawless (5) -> immaculate (5) -> perfect (5) -> imcomparable (6) -> gem (6) -> STONE

    So. 1 rough = (530x3) coins. = 1590 coins.
    1 blemished = (530x9) coins, or (530x3)x3 coins.

    So, we go on like that. 1 gem would be 530 coins x 3 x 3 x 3 x 4 x 4 x 4 x 5 x 5 x 5 x 6
    = a whooping 686.880.000 coins. And we need 6 of those to make a level 12 gem.

    A level 12, it would be... *drumroll* 4.121.280.000 coins. Just over 4 BILLION coin. Or, if we say 1 gold is 120k of in-game coin... US$ 34.344. And you think venos use a lot of could-be gold on their special pets?

    Also, because I know that people will ask...

    Shabby = 530 coins
    Rough = 1.590 coins, 3 shabby
    Blemished = 4.770 coins, 9 shabby
    Common = 14.310 coins, 27 shabby
    Average = 57.240 coins, 108 shabby
    Beautiful = 228.960 coins, 432 shabby
    Flawless = 915.840 coins, 1728 shabby
    Immaculate = 4.579.200 coins, 8640 shabby
    Perfect = 22.896.000 coins, 43.200 shabby
    Imcompariable = 114.480.000 coins, 216.000 shabby
    Gem = 686.880.000 coins, 1.296.000 shabby
    Stone = 4.121.280.000 coins, 7.776.000 shabby


    (and yes, now I've ruined it for all those who make a fortune selling blemished shards at 5k each )
