The radio just takes you to slacker radio online (if you live in the US). Slacker does play some good music and you do need to register after a few hours but it's free and they don't spam your email. Pandora radio is also a favorite of mine while playing.

hey naeva how you doing? it's been a while :)

and i refuse to enlist in any thing else no matter what any one says every "free" thing you give your email to result in a few more spam in your inbox.

I use it quite often. Almost every time I play. I subscribed and haven't got any junk mail from it.

It is open only to Americans it seems but there are many internet radio staions that you can stream and listen to while you play.

My in game name is "RoughTongue" on the Heaven's Tear Server,
    I run Rpg Radio Storm
My goal is to provide a more interactive radio station for PWI players.
Please keep in mind I follow FCC rules with broadcasts.
However, it is my wish to be your community bulletin board,

(IE: you need help with and FB you tell me and I tell the listeners),

I will not be doing ads for factions, sorry, I do not play favorites

but if a GM would like me to air updates or the item mall would like me to set up ads they will need to contact me at:

    corp@rpgradiostorm.com

Q: Some may wonder if this is only for the Heaven's Tear server?

A: No this is a multi-game station, I have listeners from Guildwars, Cabal, Hero and some FPS games as well
If a listener has xFire or another IM program they can reach me using these ids

    IM ID:sardethwynn@yahoo.com
    xFire: sardethwynn

At present, I am only using one stream for this game and will expand as needed.

It is a 96 kbs stream to help those overseas connect with low bandwidth usage.

The site its pretty straight forward, no log in or register, (although when I do set up a forum you will need to register for that.)
However, that is planned for a later date.

You have all the Tune In options for the different media players and if you have trouble connecting that way you can try pop up player or the embedded players.

At present I am running a semi-autoplayer because the full launch for this station will take place on March 1, 2009

Yet again, if you have a request and you contact me...

My deal with the listeners is this, "If have it I will play it, if I do not have it I will work on getting it,
if it does not get the FCC knocking on my door. b:laugh
    [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

"If Stupidity got us into this, why can't it get us out?"
If you are going to scream "HEAL" at me and then curse at me because the heals are not coming fast enough for you liking, please have the common curiosity to do it in English, so I can laugh as you die. I play a vamp not a priest because I am not a heal bot.

The PW radio rocks, to be honest. But I've heard after you use it a while, it asks you to subscribe. So I shut it down, and use Pandora now. Which also is fantastic.

all it does is connect to the radio stream there is no malicious intent but in most cases your right to be paranoid about pop ups for ads and what not so explain to me what would be a better solution?

Just because THEY don't send you junk doesn't mean they don't sell your email address to someone who does. I did an experiment once. I made a new email account and registered in a couple of free services that declare they give you the possibility to decide if you want emails from them and that they won't give my email to anyone. I unchecked every newsletter/promotional info/anything I could. After a month I was getting like 10-15 junk emails everyday, lol.

If they really didn't want to send you anything, they won't require email to register in the first place. If you look around the internet, you can find offers selling for example 1 000 000 active email addresses for a couple hundred $$$ - and people buy those databases to use for their own advertising. Where do you think those addresses come from? From free services :)

I don't say its bad. I use a good spam filter and I have no problem about it and I register everywhere I want to with one of my email accounts (second one is totally spam free, as I use it only for more formal needs).

I tried using my own music and playing music off of my music list from playlist.com but I think rpgradiostorm.com is kewl because it's a radio station. I haven't listened to radio in years since I started playing PWI. Plus Sardeth aka RoughTongue interacts with us and has contests. Besides even tho I prefer rock and punk music nowadays I can't listen to it 24/7. If you go the site RoughTongue has an embedded player that automatically plays as well links for your fav media players (clicking on those cause pop ups which seem safe.) I use winamp and winamp has a listing for his station so again no pop up. I'm sure by now the GM's have checked out his site. Check it out and stop by the in-game chat room. See ya online!

If you go the site and on the home page there's links for stream 1 and stream 2. One of the listeners who is from Canada says the links for stream 2 should work for you.

yeah, I tried it when they first added it, if it weren't a non built in radio I'd prolly use it more. However, seeing that it is I'd rather use Pandora; they have a better selection, it's free, and it's not USA only.

So as answer to your question, no I do not. The online radio PWI chose sucks.

(and is it just me, or do they keep turning PWI into more of a PWUS? -_-)

My apologies, in which case I direct you to Deezer, as it is a french based site (or around there) and 100% NOT in the US,
