Hiya,

There a spammer (spamming about selling gold for real money) on server Lost City and in Archosaur wich spams about his stupid gold site, BAN it now its pissing me and lots others off lol

His name is to messed up to write down

    I dont even see the bot and i cant get it to blacklist and there seem to be more then 1, just come online to Arch and ban it cause the whole local chat has been made useless now

    Just do what I did, right click name, and blacklist. Voila!

    1) I don't have characters on lost city
    2) I can't ban.

    Rightclick the bot's name in the chat, click follow. When you've found him, rightclick the character and click report ****.

    The interesting thing is it's advertising multiple sites.
    It shouts out one ad for one site about 100 times, then after than it starts advertising a different one.
    I wonder if the sites are affiliated, or if there's someone selling advertising services in PW.

    It is getting really annoying in Sanctuary, as if it wasn't crowded enough without the bots selling gold. 3-4 seconds after I came to Arch today my chat was renderred completelly useless by that bot spamming about the sites selling gold. Could something please be done about that? The PWI is less and less of a "perfect world" by hours as it seems lately...

    Found out how to report them about 15 mins ago but its still here, common, is it realy this hard to ban a violater?

    reported them as well - could only report them as "report hacking" though, didn't have the option to say just "what" type of bot it is.

    If you've reported a spammer, he should be thrown off as soon as a GM gets on.

    reported both of them...
    ah and i clicked on follow but couldnt see him when my character reached him

    I realise this isn't your doing, but why isn't there at least ONE GM online at all times? This is a supposedly international game, it would be nice if we didn't get the impression that us european players were of so little importance :/

    Having to wait over 4 hours for a chronic gold spammer to be kicked is simply unacceptable. the Blacklist is a godsend, but I got a "Failed. Blacklist is full" pop up when trying to mute today's bot b:sad

    GM coverage of the servers is 24/7 so it is not a case of them getting online but a case of them getting to it. Also another way to report is to send a ticket to Customer Support.

    I became aware of this situation this morning and needless to say, I'm pretty pissed. It seems that some of our evening GMs are falling asleep at the wheel.

    I promise you that I will reprimand them accordingly. This is truly unacceptable and I ashamed and disappointed at my team.

    A big thanks to all of you that reported the spammers and a heartfelt apology to those that we have let down.

    These GMs will be spoken with today and the appropriate course of action taken.
