Some newbie questions

Hi! I just started this game 2 days ago. I am level 20 now. I got many questions already:
(1) What do I do with all those lowbie equipment I got from mobs? Should I sell down to shops? Decompose them? Auction? Or Keep? If I auction them how much is a reasonable price for a blue 1* item that players will pay for?
(2) What do I need to make sockets for my gear? The interface asked for a "Stoness" but what Stones? I found a few socketed gear from mobs so apparently socketed items in PW aren't as rare as other games... so shouldn't waste my material and money on socketed things, right?
(3) How should I spend my money? I don't have much... like 120k only. Conventional wisdom from other games told me not to spend on anything other than potions and mounts and pets only. Same goes here?
(4) When I decomposed some gear I got something related to chi. How do I use them?
(5) Is it possible to have a pure skiller? That is a combat level 1 character with maximum levels in all the 4 manufacturing skills?
(6) How do I know the hunger level of my pets? Where do I find food for them? Will they run away if I don't feed them?
(7) Can I have more than 2 pets as a free player? I got a quest which requested me to find either a cage or 20 fodders? But where do I get a cage or 20 fodders?
(8) There is a blessed book. Where do I find blessed books?
(9) How to look for a party? I only saw people broadcasting for FB parties... but where else for regular grind parties?
Hope somebody can help me with my newbie questions... Thx in advance b:laugh

Oooh big post. I'll try to help the best i can.
1) I would suggest just NPC your item drops if they are worthless to you. I don't really know if u should decompose those yet.
2) You can get the socket stones from the Merchants and some quests. They basically just give added stats to the equipment.
3) You should just spend your money on Equipment that is needed and Skills. Only if you have extra money you should spend the extra cash on pots depending if you really do need them. You shouldn't try to spend your money on teleports that much as they can waste money pretty quickly. Also, if you have a lot of cash sitting around, you can spend it on pets, mounts, boutique itemds, etc.
4)You use those stoned to use on your mounts to return the lost speed points that you may have used while using accelerate.
5)Not sure on that, I think that in order to farm some of the really high lvl mats you need to be a higher combat lvl too.
6)The hunger lvl of your pet is the color of the circle behind its face. Blue means its full and its best to keep it there. You get 100 water from the pet skill trainer for free then you can buy more water from her later. Every pet will take water. They will not run away when they are hungry, they only get weaker and they will lose loyalty and have a lower exp rate.
7) Yes you can. You can get a cage from the boutique or from other players. You can get the fodder (Hay) from most creatures with horns as a rare drop.
8) Sorry i have no idea what a blessed book is
9) You have to go asking around for those type of parties or if you see a player with yellow text above their names saying LVL 40 BARBARIAN SEEKING A SQUAD. Its most likely they might be grinding a monster.
Hope this helps you0 -

Sell them if you can't use them. No one will (or should) buy gear at low levels since you change it every hour or so. Decomposing gives you chi stones for aerogear post-level 30. Not worth it now.(2) What do I need to make sockets for my gear? The interface asked for a "Stoness" but what Stones? I found a few socketed gear from mobs so apparently socketed items in PW aren't as rare as other games... so shouldn't waste my material and money on socketed things, right?
Socket stones are cash shop items. Don't socket equip until very late in the game; it's expensive. If you want to know more about sockets, check Here. Actually, that link is very good for many questions.(3) How should I spend my money? I don't have much... like 120k only. Conventional wisdom from other games told me not to spend on anything other than potions and mounts and pets only. Same goes here?
Mounts are optional. Pets are necessary to feed for a Veno, otherwise ignore them. Your money will go primarily to skills and repair costs. At 20, you can make life powder from the apothecary and some other goodies. Choose those over pots. Meditate when you can tolerate it. If you find yourself with tons of coin...feel very very lucky.(4) When I decomposed some gear I got something related to chi. How do I use them?
Specifically, flying gear. Wings for the elves, swords for the humans, various animals for the Untamed. They have a "normal" mode that costs nothing to use. They have an "accelerate" mode that goes faster but consumes fuel. Chi stones are that fuel.(5) Is it possible to have a pure skiller? That is a combat level 1 character with maximum levels in all the 4 manufacturing skills?
No. You need to do a quest to get to level 4 of the manufacturing skills, and it requires combat level 50. There is another check point at 80 and a third at 100. So even if you buy all the mats (since you can't harvest them either at low levels) you will be unable to progress far.(6) How do I know the hunger level of my pets? Where do I find food for them? Will they run away if I don't feed them?
In addition to the visual cue mentioned, you can hover over the yellow bar next to the pic when it is summoned, or open your pet bag and check it's stats. It will also tell you the next time it will lose loyalty and what it's current penalties are, but they will never just run away. Feeding your pet can get pretty expensive.
Food will drop from mobs, but pet trainer always sells the basic water.(7) Can I have more than 2 pets as a free player? I got a quest which requested me to find either a cage or 20 fodders? But where do I get a cage or 20 fodders?
Cage is cash shop. Fodder is also called Hay and is a drop. It drops most frequently from some level 30 antelope pups near silver pool. They are mutually exclusive, so if you get the cage, you cant do the fodder. You *can* do the fodder, then the cage.
You can use coin to buy "gold" which is used in the cash shop, even as a free player. Nothing is out of reach.(8) There is a blessed book. Where do I find blessed books?
I'm gonna guess this is the cash shop book that means you dont have to feed your pet for a week. It is, of course, in the cash shop.(9) How to look for a party? I only saw people broadcasting for FB parties... but where else for regular grind parties?
Regular grind parties, especially at your level, are almost all pick-up. Go out to where you need to be, ask politely in the local chat if anyone would like to squad to kill X.
Hope this helped. Be sure to browse the begginer sticky and the sticky for your chosen class. Lot's of great information out there.

bless book ,meaning blessing of christmas? its a item from the christmas event that gives 1% crit and feeds your pet, it currently goes for about 1.5mil
for money just focus on wep and rings mostly
the tome spot require farming lvl 90+areas and mystical tomes from the cash shop to make,
err bless spot is for arcane book for cashshop 2 gold
sockets are not so rare on items and niether are the shards (can buy from npc) at much higher lvls getting more sockets and shards will be vital0 -
Just to add some on the fodder question, every thing else has been answered already:
The longhorned carapest (lvl20 mob that can be found if you follow the road leading south from gate of antiquity) also drops them, but not as often as the antelope pup. If you really want to extend your pet bag, try it there, because it's at your lvl.0 -
Thx for the replies so far. Regarding pets I still have a few questions...
I managed to capture some pets (in eggs). I asked the pet trainer to hatch them. The eggs disappeared but where did the newly hatched pets go? The pet trainer talked of a pet bag. Where is it?
I also have another problem with my pet. He keeps disappearing once in a while and I have to resummon him. Why?
Since I am only carry 2 pets (that is if I can find my newly hatched pet somewhere...) what pets should I keep? I notice my ground pet won't go into water so do I need a water pet? What is a good one?0 -
For your pet bag, just click "p". From there you can drag your pets to a shortcut bar.
You pet sometimes disappears when stuck in the terrain or something, and you get to far away. For instance, pets can't pass the bridge at the entrance of the wolf totem valley (at least mine can't). When I pass when they are summend, they will disappear, and I have to resummen them once I passed the bridge.
For your pets, I suggest 2 land pets, or a land and a air pet for now. The problem with water pets is that you hardly have any quests to do in the water. After lvl8 turtles, you'll have to wait till lvl23 for the elder tortoise, and then till lvl36. When you have a water quest, just grab the nearest water pet available. Air quests are also more rare then land quests, but at least you can use flying pets on the ground. If you go for 2 land pets, try to pick 2 different kinds: like mag tank + phys tank, tanker + a faster and more offensive one (handy agains archer types, or when you have a barb in the squad), etc.0
