PVE on PVP Server

Hi. A friend and I are PVErs at heart but are interested in rolling on this PVP server. We have a few questions about this, however.

If we play a Barbarian Tank and a Full Support Cleric, will we be needed to do PVE things? Are there PVE guilds on Lost City? Will it just be hell trying to grind like this? How bad is the PK situation against PVE build people? Any input is appreciated!

most do not random pk

only useful pve builds are used for pveing. (even on PVP servers 90% on this game is pve)

There really isn't much to worry about in the way of PvP. Just stay out of RageQuit, BloodLusT, Conquerer, GuardianZ, and Enraged, and you'll almost never get PKed. There are hundreds of other guilds out there.

For PvE, you'll be needed for bosses, fbs, and such. Clerics are often wanted in grind parties (for killing mobs, primarily, NOT HEALING -- full support is not viable for PvE), but werebeasts are not. However, if you level your few AoE skills, the two of you can make more exp with just each other than an entire party, if you're on the right mobs.

Thanks for the responses. We are still a little confused. We basically want to play the extremely needed classes. How do barbarians level up at higher levels if they are not usually accepted into grind parties?

Sorry if we seem noob but...well...we are new at this game and would like a little bit of direction before we start playing hardcore.

You'll get into the occasional grind party, especially if you're well-liked. Like I said, you can also duo with an EP, or add an axe-wielding Blademaster to your group for faster killing. This option isn't good until higher levels though. Quests will get you a decent amount of EXP until then.

You can also do fb runs -- but you need a good reputation to be successful at this. FBs are, basically, special dungeons you need to clear every 10 or so levels. Every member of the party, regardless of level, gets exp and sometimes rare drops from FBs. You can worldshout that you're offering help for people who need theirs done -- a cleric and barb combo would be excellent for fbs, as they're usually the hardest classes to find. The rest of the party is relatively easy to fill.

i am new at the game and i go to a pvp and people are killing me left and right and when i ask for help they always kill me and i am getting mad that nobody in this game has a hart to help a noob out i don't know how to play and people are always lieing on how do do thing they just trying to make it harder for us new people i wish i can get help if some one can be so nice and help me with the game in little steps that will be so go and kind and i will be vary grateful for the help........... and plz don't try to trick me i have been trick like 40times in this game!!!.........i hate when i get lied to. and if some one can help me reply back b:pleased

You see near the top of the webpage on the right Current Time. Next to it in big white letters are the words "EDIT YOUR AVATAR" . Now next to that is ur avatar u click on that and the rest is self explainitory.

There are a handful of "supposed to be" pve guilds on lost city. Ohana is one, Forbiden is another(puposely misspelled cause thats how guild name is). PK is only really bad if ur in a tw guild and events lol. Your first bad pk experience will be probably at secret passage, after that hidden orchid, and then what i think was the worst for me personally was swamp of wraiths. Most the time you will be left alone most i've died in one day was 12ish times (was in tw guild at the time and was at pk war) my average of dying over the 5+ months i played is less then 1-2 times a week. Just make sure when ur purchacing stuff from players that it is the real deal and look around once and a while to see what the going rate for something is.

edit: btw barb is needed to tank bosses/fbs although venos with herc are taking over and clerics are definitely wanted for buffs, healing during fb/boss runs, DD. Barb isnt wanted very much for grind parties due to their lack of damage but hey just be fun and people will overlook it.

I find its not much of a problem.

As long as your a white named player you wont loose any items or experience.

I just watch my minimap for green dots. I check out who is comming. As a rule if its pink in any sort of way - run.

If they are your own level - stand your ground, good chance you might get something good out of it.

Recently on my archer alt character, I was enroute to help with a FB31. A Red mage starts attacking me, hitting for 400's which is normal considering Archers dont have the greatest magic defense.

So I shot back hitting 800 per shot, and he began running. I killed him with a critical of 2300 damage (mind you this is a level 40 on level 40 battle), and kill him. He drops his 3 socket boots and pants with 3 average HP shards in it, and I take them. Soon after his guildies try and kill me but I'm out of the area.

There are just some random people at your own level who will try and PK you. Most of the time, you can tell - the swords on their name, or the color of their name.

In any event, the PVP server is a little more civilized than the PVE servers from my experience. People in the PVP server do less boasting and more proving.

To avoid random player killers just be aware of your surroundings. I dont die much because I usually make it to a safe zone before the higher levelled players can kill me. Just keep your mounts acceleration fully charged for emergencies.

I think you'll be fine. I've seen some strange approaches to this type of question and it would always end with the person saying they can roll all.

But you're a kind person and if you're social you'll make friends that know some people that know some people that kill some people. b:cute
