V-event: how long?

till when is the V-event, i missed the first day and got now 2 times 99 roses, but if i cant get my box cuz of the maintance the whole time when the event started i dont see why i sould continue collecting >< b:surrender

    Interested in knowing how long it is too....as usual the event notice is very sketchy and does not say.

    i would assume the vday event will last at least one week from maintanence, so i'm doubtful that maintanence will be on today.

    Maintenance is tonight (tuesday) from 11 p.m. - 1 a.m.

    All Valentines events will end once servers get shut down. Get it done now!

    Will we be able to drop the Valentine's items once the event is over?

    I think we were spoiled with the Nien Beast event.

    The event suffered from having far too few item-spawns (making it a struggle to get honey and especially(!) roses... Carpal tunnel does not equal happy players). From being unfair to the genders (female get 2000% of male exp..?).

    And from not taking into account the vastness of the venomancers - which combined with the very low male exp results in a literal void of males willing to fight over roses...

    I mean, next year, make it only for married couples or something... That makes it a lot fairer and equal. The event, as it is, with men literally selling themselves to the highest offering woman (highest offer I've seen on HT was 450k), is about greed rather than love.

    Funny thing is that this event turned more into a prostitution event than a love event.

    Females were offering money for males with 99 roses, and males with 99 roses were selling themselves to the females b:chuckle

    Well, if you are a female, this event is a 10/10 : good xp with little efforts

    If you're a male... 1/10 : little reward for lots of efforts

    The main problem was the too small availability of the roses. There should have been numerous patches of them here and there on the map. The secondary problem was the too large difference of the rewards for males compared to females.

    The event's idea in itself was well thought, but it's implementation was very deficient.

    If I could go negative numbers I would. The other events may have not been perfect but this one was abysmal for many reasons, most of them already mentioned in this thread. It literally brought out the worst in a lot of people.

    Honestly, this event was poorly executed through and through. Disappointing beyond measure, especially from an MMORPG which shines in so many other aspects. There was absolutely NO notification as to the duration of the event, save for a single measly post to a thread by a GM (posted today, the FINAL day!) Admin-to-user communication via general announcement TRULY needs an upgrade.

    I'm wondering how the items are going to be useful after maintenance tonight. Since we won't the ribbons to make the bouquets anymore, will the roses be of any use? And, if we didn't happen to be able to complete 4/4 quest days, is there some way we'll be able to buy valentine's day pendant fragments/faithful wishes to get what (granted, extremely miniscule) compensation for our carpal-tunnel-inducing hardship?

    Event wasnt too bad, of course there will be a lot of whining.
    People expect free easy exp/rewards, no sorry to break your bubble pwi doesnt owe you anything like that. This event is purely optional if you go there and lose 20% it's your fault.
    The only thing I didnt like was the location of the flowers.

    If this event was supposed to only last a week between maintenances, it would have been nice to actually make it last a week for people who were unable to do the quest 1 out of the 4 days and now are short 1 crystal for the pendant.
